We are now reverting to direct long ball.

Royal_jimmyLower WestRoyal_jimmy McDermott is the right man at the wrong time. We needed a manager who favoured the passing style to great effect. We are now reverting to direct long ball. Should have gone for a young manager from a league 1 team. Complete waste of time.
Care to name one?
Hasselbaink before he went to QPR, Justin Edinburgh who is doing a great job at Gillingham and the legend Parky who has done a great job getting Bradford to the League cup final, FA cup quarters and promotion from league 1 in the past 3 seasons.

Extended-Phenotype Yeah, for a short period Reading were good under Clarke. Shame it didn't last though. Can't dine out on performances of yore, if you lose it and can't get it back, you run the risk of losing your job.
That's how it works.

No Fixed Abode Reading reached number 2 with Clarke and I think the highest position BM has reached is 11th?
Now if you had a record that reached number 2 it certainly would be a bigger hit than number 11 in the charts.

Armadillo RoadkillWe were RUBBISH under Adkins. The football wasn't good to watch at all./quote]
We were occasionally good. And as much of the time he had a team with quite a few youngsters and a club drifting towards administration and no one in charge .
Extended-Phenotype Past form doesn't keep you in a job, current form does.

SC had a short spell where the team wasn't doing so well - BM is currently having a spell of poor form and looking at your run in - it isn't the easiest is it? So by EPs reckoning BM will be out of a job should they not do very well in the remaining fixtures.

A draw at home to Fulham, a loss to Huddersfield, a loss to Palace - you better hope they don't get beaten at Brighton tonight - as BM might be out of a job soon.

SC's last 8: W1 D3 L5 Points: 6
BM's last 8: W2 D4 L2 Points: 10
So Brian has nearly double the amount of points that Clarke had during his run of poor form that cost him his job, and that's league only - Brian has also won 2 cup games during that period.
Also, it's worth noting Brian hasn't gone to speak to any other clubs and left his position untenable during the last 8 games.
