Sanguine Based on his tweets and obvious affection towards his club, if Leicester were to win it on the last day I think Lineker might present MoTD in tears.

The thing is, just like our 106 season, it's all about the mix of personalities and the team. I can't see many of them making that big a name for themselves in any other set up apart from maybe Kante and Mahrez. I think the key is Ranieri. Not only is he an excellent coach but he takes a lot of pressure off the players and keeps them level headed.

Your not going to get all the big teams misfiring and a smaller team sustaining their form nearly all the season all that often and I can't see them sustaining it long term, but it restores your faith that football isn't all about spending power and that actually, a lot of it is about astute coaching and the whole being greater than the sum of the parts.

The other advantage that Leicester may have is that instead of just having a good season and finishing 6th or 7th with a couple of outstanding players they've made the Champions League whilst at least 2 of the really big spenders haven't.

Hopefully it will mean that, along with the TV money, they've got more income to pay those players attracting the big boys more money to stay AND they can offer them Champions League football which the likes of Chlesea or United won't be able to.

Same goes with Spurs really.

I like the way you can pronounce that in two ways.

Agreed, you can be a star player, playing in the Champions League in a settled side at Leicester or you can become a bit part player at another club.

Conversely, the big marquee players may not want to go to Leicester but they also won't want to go to a club not in the Champions League.

Sadly its football finances we're talking about here. What's the betting they spend 150% of their increased revenue and are screwed within 5 years.

According to some reports it sounds like their biggest challenge may well be keeping hold of the manager.

I cannot stand Paul Merson but he's outdone himself today.

First, he says that if Arsenal win and Leicester lose then Arsenal are his choice to win the PL as they'll only be 5 points behind - well, Paul, that'll be 8 points, albeit with a game in hand.

Then he says that if Leicester win today then they can have the trophy today.

Idiot

Has he fallen off the wagon?

Never paid any attention to him since he made a ham fisted attempt to sound intelligent by comparing having a gambling problem with going to the hairdressers.

Liverpool V Tottenham
Tottenham V Man Utd
Stoke V Tottenham
Tottenham V West Brom

Tottenham have the hardest run-in, but Leicester's last three games are very tricky. I think they need to have it wrapped up by then, or I think Tottenham might catch them.

Its a tossup i'll give you that, but Spurs i feel are much stronger than any of the teams they have to face - their hardest game probably being Chelsea away. Looking at Leicester you can really only say Sunderland and Swansea being the only safe bet games.

TBF, even then, the Sunderland game will be tricky as they have a habit of turning up against top sides at this time of the season, when they are struggling.

I am aware I am contradicting my own point here

I think Saturday might have been enough for them. MOTD pundits pointed out that for a lot of the games in the run in Spurs play after and that forever chasing mentality might have an effect. That and the points difference might eventually be too much. It's just a case of when that eventuality is.

I think though, the victory at Palace on Saturday was the title.

Er, the league table suggests Leicester are stronger than every other club this season....

Still think Spurs will win it. Those last 3 games will wreck it for Leicester.

Arsenal's run in really is piss easy

One could argue Spurs are playing nicer and more enterprising football, rather than nicking a goal and time wasting.
