Not really - just pointing out that he only contributed after he was contacted by the family and was asked. This was neiter voluntary or unprompted.

In some ways I feel sorry for him. What was he supposed to do? Say no? Even he knew that would be on the front page on every red top this morning.

From what I understand he was contacted and asked to make a contribution to the funeral expenses in a single message.

All I'm saying is that he never got a chance to offer of his own volition.

I'm torn here, it's a nice gesture but obviously it doesn't absolve him from all previous misdemeanours* but I also actually feel a bit sorry for him as he's now going to get tapped up for all sorts of charitable donations if all it takes is a family friend contacting him on Instagram
