Fine but where is he? Why has our new signing failed to get on the pitch with any regularity? Why do we keep signing players who can't play?

Maybe the manager is trying to decide on players

e.g. Should I try to get Vydra for 3M?

Is it worth keep Cox on a smaller deal?

If it's true he had rakes foisted on him then there's no big rush

Plus maybe he was injured? I've heard that happens to footballers

Forbury Lion I'm impressed with the clubs decision to bring back Brian McDermot, I think he's so far done an acceptable job with the squad we have.

Next season is the big test, If the board back their manager in the transfer window then I would expect to see us regularly winning at home and challenging for the play-offs by Christmas. If they do not back him, then I'm expecting more of the same.

Back him with what ?? There is no money, the agenda is to reduce the wage bill, the owners clearly want maximum reward for little investment but as we all know it doesn't work that way at any level.
I said If the board back the manager.

If there is no cash to spend then a repeat of this season will be the target, hopefully with the players that we have left performing at a better level, maybe offloading some high earners and signing a few bargain signings and a few good loan signings will get us in the top half of the table.

No Fixed Abode But like Clarke - everyone said Blackman was on a downward spiral and it was right to get rid cos ya know - people don't turn their form around.......

I have no idea where Blackman was "blown" but the fact
remains that SC benefitted from the only player this season
who has had a hot streak, even though he kept playing him out of position.

But it's OK, Brian has Cox

Cox will surely be released as he continues his run of khak form. The gamble that was Rakels and Kormorant looks set to burn another hole in the clubs finances which we can ill afford, both should be embarrassed with their return so far, although the person who moved for these two duffers (doubt it was BM, he was prob in the dark) should also be shown the door as they are clearly a chancer with no grasp on what is needed at this level.

clarkes head scout has just left

Chelsea signed players without consulting Mouriniho..... he didn't select them

Reading FC signed Rakkels, He wasn't Brian's signing...... I don't think Brian would not play him, He did afterall play the Pog when the same thing happened.

What's happened to this midfielder we signed from Man City?

Norwood's replacement?
Could easily be Williams replacement.

Would've said the same, high earner who's had an indifferent season, bound to be offloaded in the summer, particularly with Evans and Tshibola waiting in the wings.

To be fair, it's not exactly a bad strategy to buy cheaper players who take a year to get up to speed. It just makes planning a bit harder and means it's difficult to quickly react to bad situations or changes in level.

Honestly, what a load of crap being spouted on here. Look at the team tonight. WTF is going on. Some of these players are first choice for their national team yet Magoo doesn't pick them. Is everybody trying to find a reason to NOT sack him. Seems like it

He should be given 15 games to get 20 points next season and be sacked if we can't get that.

Awful finish to a game we had battled back into tonight.

If vydra scores its glorious.
But he didnt, and unless Rakels is injured. Or there is financial reason to keep playing vydra/interference from owners Brian has to take responsibility for playing him again.

And id like Danny Williams to be dealt with quite harshly please.

Tbf there arent exactly a lot of options for changes without playing loanees or playing people who wont be here next season.

But I think its defo time to put vydra out of his misery

After listening to that interview, McDermott is a dead man walking.

Answering the original question.. NOT. Just listened to his post match interview and he's lost it. Can't handle any criticism, totally defensive an ineffective. The club needs to show more ambition.

Agree. I think he's lost the dressing room too.
