There's nothing wrong with Brian getting angry this evening.. He's not a dead man walking. He'll get criticised whatever he does if the team loses.

starbug After listening to that interview, McDermott is a dead man walking.

Agree. I think he's lost the dressing room too.

Based on wiliams squaring up to Mcshane?

Or just the general shitness?

Wasn't right earlier in the season. Blackman was so obviously not up for a lot of matches.

I don't think he's lost the dressing room. I don't think he ever really had the dressing room. And I don't think Steve Clark or Nigel Adkins has ever had this dressing room. I don't think this dressing room will play for any manager. It's best that they all leave.

These players are gutless losers... There needs to be a mass clear out over the summer and characters brought into the club who want to fight. Let's do what we always do best. Sign the top scorers in League's one and two. Find some good up coming players and bring them on.

Brian is the best man to do that... But he will need five years to pull it off. Will people like Royal Blue give him five years? Probably not, but that's what he or any manager will need to reestablish the Reading way.

Thats what I find most odd, when he took over from Coppell he kept re-iterating the 'Reading way' which was wingers, width and crosses. Never heard him say anything like that since he's been back like he's suddenly forgotten his entire first stint with the club.

Weve had several windows where two previous managers and two new owners have completely ripped the reading way to shreds

Blackman only seemed up for about 6 matches in his entire Reading career.

What happened in the post match interview?

Dellor stuttered into an attack on the vydra miss, and from then on brian got very defensive, wanted to talk about the game(or the bits of it we played really well in) said he didnt see the Williams Mcshane fight. And said no when asked if vydra was mentally shot.

Oh is that it? Sounded like he'd been telling all and sundry to shit off, doing crude racist impressions whilst being swigging from a can export strength lager.

He doesn't need to be so defensive. I think Dellor just has a knack of getting on people's tits.

All our managers have been rubbed up the wrong way by Dellor at one time or another.

He does ask the most moronic questions. Let's be honest. And sometimes he just says a load of irritating sh*t without getting a question out. Just to be a d*ck.

5 years? Do you honestly think any manager is going to get that in this day and age?

I'm not writing Brian off, he deserves to be given time but 5 years is dreamland I'm afraid.?.

Round about this time last year , I remember us beating Brighton (one of the few League games we did win in the last 3rd of the season) and their fans absolutely laying into Hughton, wanting him sacked. Now look at them. Shrewd acquisitions and a battling team spirit from a manager proven at this level have turned them around. I wouldn't bet against McD doing the same if given the right backing to shape the squad as he wants.

But sadly as much as I like watching him play and have some sympathy, Vydra who you've been championing all season is a massive part of the problem.

There's an old saying 'when the going gets tough the tough get going' BM aint that man. His reaction to Tim Dellor last night shows he is struggling with the pressure.

Blame must be attached to the hierarchy (not the Thais) who brought him back.

Some positives to take out of the game last night. LIke how BM has galvanised the squad.

Has his PPG gone above Clarke's this season yet?
