I like both Tim and Brian, so I hope i can be objective here. Tim can get a bit excited at times, but like any other fan, (and he is a Reading fan), he can vent his anger at things he does not like. just like you or me. He was entitled to ask the questions he asked, Brian was, I assume, as disappointed as we all were to see the game being lost in the final minute when only a few seconds before, we could have won it, again just like you or me. Brian's insistence to talk about the game should have made Tim to steer clear of more mention of Vydra's miss. Brian on the other hand , claimed he did not see the Williams/McShane incident which may have been correct, as McClaery was down injured, so he may have been looking there. However, he went on to say "I know nothing about it". Really? There must have been something said about it in the dressing room afterwards, so it seems unlikely he wouldn't know about it. Brian should have told Tim, and therefore the Reading fans, that it was going to be dealt with after tempers had calmed down. Tim, Mick and Adey have always got on well and have always appeared to be friends, so by now whats the betting that by now that either Tim or Brian has phoned the other and arranged to go to the pub tonight?
We will probably never know what caused Williams to react in the way he did, and should in my view be shown the door at the end of the season, it would have been bad enough for him to do that to any player, let alone the captain.

in commentary, tim himself pointed out to mick that brian had not seen the incident due to arguing with 4th official about the foul.
seems utterly insane that he should now start questioning an criticising that

Yeah, jokingly

I believe that TD said after the winning goal went in and therefore the end of the match, "over to you Ady". and made a remark about he (Tim) could not take anymore. Tim always brings in Ady at the end of the match, so it was the usual thing to hand over to the studio, but maybe the comment was unusual.

STATEMENT ON THE CLUB WEBSITE.
Brian has now seen the footage of the incident and has reminded both players of their responsibilities to the club and supporters.

Snowball136 I am totally serious when I say I believe Dellor is mentally ill.

At the very least he's having a nervous breakdown.

He actually asked last night for the other commentator
to take over because he couldn't handle it.

Criticism is one thing, even severe criticism but RABID RANTING is sick.

It DELLOR who needs to be put down.

Hell of a thing to accuse someone of just because you disagree with their entirely correct opinion about the poor performances of a football player.

Nothing to do with agreement or disagreement.

He genuinely sounds like he has lost it. Compare his manner to
say, the same man 18 months ago,

John Smith .... I can't understand why Dellor isn't allowed to be exasperated, especially in the heat of the moment.

For exactly the same reason that Williams and McShane aren't allowed to be exasperated, especially in the heat of the moment.

It's unprofessional, it stops you doing the job you're paid to do, it lets down the people who are depending on you, and it creates a terrible impression of you.

What world to live in, depending on a radio commentator.

Indeed, but there are people who depend on him in a pretty loose sense of the word. They depend on him to get an accurate and impartial picture of what's happening on the pitch. If he can't deliver that to them, what's the point of him - unless he's decided that he is the story, in a Paxmanesque, "look-at-me" way.

Words to that effect. It briefly was like his mike got turned off then Adie asked him a question and dribbling-rantsville, tennessee was back at 130% volume again.

I posted on here earlier that Williams should be shown the door at the end of the season. I have just seen footage of the incident on the internet and have changed my mind. It shows McShane saying something to Williams and they walked towards each other and then Mcshane headbutted Williams, no wonder Williams reacted the way he did. Both players must be fined at least, for the clash and Mcshane should not be captain for the rest of the season.

I find it strange that the majority on here have been slating the team this year for lack of passion and disappointing performances.
Yet when a commentator says exactly what the majority think and see, he is given a hard time.

To be fair Vydra has been pretty useless, and the team has been under performing (bar one or two exceptions)

I think Dellor is spot on and right to ask the manager WTF is going on!

John Smith
Maneki Neko so im not sure what else you want.

All I want from you is to know where your standards lie. I want to know if you can accept misses like that in important moments in games. Because if you can accept that then you'll drag this club down.

This ! This is an incredible statement, even worse than anything that Timmy Tosspot can muster up.
