Sutekh The current mess is all down to Zingarevich

There is no way the idiot should have sacked Brian given that he had no money.

Nigel Adkins then got the rough side of it all with nothing but empty promises and no money meaning his eventual removal was inevitable.

Steve Clarke was a good appointment but a very odd summer where presumably he actually had limited funds, meaning some strange decisions on backroom staff and leaving us with numbers being made up by far too many loans, seemed to back him into a corner where he wasnt happy so he marked his card by choosing to speak to Fulham and then his lack of management prowess saw him rightly removed.

While I was hoping for someone like Pearson to come in as manager we ended up with the usual Reading way and the standard "cheap" option and Brian back. Now this has happened all those saying he should be sacked are just wrong.

Sacking him is ridiculous as he has to have time to sort this mess of playing catastrophes out and therefore should have the summer to build a side that can forge the foundations of a successful squad. If no new shoots are appearing by November then is the time to reassess the situation.

But until Brian has had the close season to make the necessary decisions then we support him - and we know that he has been able to build a decent, competitive Championship level squad from youth, loans and smart captures from the lower divisions before so on the back of that at least hasn't he earned a summer free from sniping and silly demands for his sacking?

It shouldn't matter how much money a manager is given to spend.

We are not, and for the foreseeable future, will not be a big spending club. If a manager isn't able to perform without a big budget, then this job is not the right job for him.

It does not mean he is incapable as a manager, or lacks talent. Merely, that his management style is better suited to dealing with more expensive and already established players.

You can't directly say either way, whether a manager would have done better with more money, because he wasn't managing a team with more money, he was managing us.

So to anyone blaming the board of directors, calm down so, take a seat.

Brian was brought in not to buy new players and replace the squad, but to work with what we have. Brian has done well before on a low budget and losing his best players: Gylfi, Roberts etc.

Ok, so he did get given Roberts who pretty much took us up. But he achieved a lot before that with the playoffs. He got the best out of kebe, McCarthy, McCleary, Mills etc.

Give him until Christmas at least. There's probably not many other manners who would do that job for what we can afford to pay, let alone talented ones who want to come here.

Listening to the reactions on BBCRB from telephone calls, texts and Twitter I'd just like to say that I f[u]cking hate Reading fans.

I'm inclined to agree, but as I've said before, I don't think it's exclusive to Reading fans. I think football fans in general are thickcunts.

Football fans...

New manager takes over ... "Finally what we've been waiting for, here we go then, results are about to change! Come on team!!!"

They lose the next game

Fans tweet and moan "what the hell? Seriously, one more loss and he's got to go. Just look at results. It's pathetic"

Save this thought. Then be brave and come back next season and let us know how far right or wrong you are.

I don't think i'd be alone at all in suspending my support for RFC if we hired Warnock as the manager, not that he'd come, and anyone suggesting that would be the club moving forwards, is delusional.

See he's claiming credit for the fact we've got more points this season than last.

That's really clutching at straws

Wrong appointment but the Brian disciples will still be singing his praises when we are bottom 6 next season

Our away record under Brian especially goals conceded is emharassing. Before Bolton away we didnt keep a clean sheet away under him since we won at Brighton 1-0 (30 odd away games ago)

Yep, just like we sing the praises of Coppell despite the fact he got us relegated from the PL. You see, we're Reading fans, that means we revere these two men because of the great things they have done for our club.

We don't insult them, we don't make up stupid names like McDonut and we don't draw faces on our thumbs.

Those who are wanting rid now are the same who shamefully hounded him the last time because they wanted 'better football'. Did you get it? Tell us how much you've enjoyed the last three years since Adkins was appointed.

We aren't "disciples" we know he can make mistakes and we can acknowledge them. But fans like you, along with significant help from Zingarevich, set this club back at least 13 years. So you can see why we're kinda reluctant to see you have your way again.

The arguments against poor Nige do look rather lame now though. Got worse under Clarke, briefly looked good then back to awful and now looking distinctly average under McDermott. And now without the excuse of being shafted by a dodgy owner and having absolutely no money to work with. Youth development has also taken a bit of a step back too. Apparently it was all just Adkins fault because he had a dodgy tan and liked to be positive.

It wasn't going well, but he was working under worse conditions than anyone since, or McDermott before.

Adkins took the fight out of the club, Norwich away comes to mind when he didn't bother to make a substitution. Whatever we were in that PL season we never gave up no matter how hopeless the situation was, that was until Adkins arrived.

He gave up on the development of the youth when the likes of McCleary and Williams came back from injury. Suddenly this man who we were assured was behind Southampton's development of young players like Lallana and would do the same for our youngsters stopped picking them bar a lucky break for Cooper at Norwich when Pearce was suspended. It was all empty words.

A lot of clubs in our situation wouldn't have allowed him to bring in his mate Sharpe, yet we did. The man is now in charge of the biggest club in League 1 and can't even get them into the Play Off places, so forgive me if I don't believe giving him loads of money would have made much difference to our plight anyway.
