Maneki Neko
No Fixed Abode Some positives to take out of the game last night. LIke how BM has galvanised the squad.

Has his PPG gone above Clarke's this season yet?

once you add in the - lost his two highest goal scorers coefficient- yes.

But - like Clarke those strikers form was on a downward trend so they wouldn't have turned their form around would they?

no idea, but that doesn't change the fact that Clarke had them during their brief spurts of form, when brian has not, so its clearly ridiculous to expect a better PPG

Neither were Brian's fault they left though

You can understand why the owners cashed in on Blackman
And Sa was sold because his family hadn't settled. I rated Sa actually, and would love to see him still here, but some things you can't control

Not Clarkes fault BM can't get the best out of those he brought in to replace them.

Credit to Clarke for getting the best out of Blackman when other managers couldn't.

genome And Sa was sold because his family hadn't settled.
I'm not sure why he agreed to be sold to a club in Israel then rather than hold out for a move to Portugal.

100% true

dellor or williams has confirmed, from a club source

wife hadn't settled.

and me saying it was a weather based issue, wasn't in fact a joke at all.

Agreed.

Didn't see anyone say otherwise, though?

McDermott didn't rate Sa at all - he never played him, that is why Sa agitated for a move. IMHO he was a much better than Kermogent

Nor did anybody else judging by the transfer itself. The sending off against Derby suggests not the easiest of people to deal with.

actually nonsense.
he had already made it clear he wanted out (due to the wife) before brian had even arrived.

Has BM's PPG taken over Clarke's PPG this season yet?

Looking at PPG right now is a nonsense analysis.

Alot of people seem to want to give McDermott only 8 or 10 matches at the start of next season and if results haven't improved by then want him to face the chop. This is just completely ridiculous. We brought him in to do a certain type of job in a Reading sort of a way and then we just sack him without giving him a chance to even do the job. Total madness.

Next season is going to be a huge struggle for Reading FC and one summer transfer window is unlikely to be enough for Brian to work miracles unless he receives huge financial backing from the board which is highly unlikely.

With the huge amount of change that will take place over the summer, (Change that Brian has no choice to deal with because of the mess laid down by his predecessors) next season is most likely to be a huge struggle where staying in the division will be a good achievement for us. I will be supporting Brian with the main aim of keeping us in the Championship and starting to put in place a group of younger, hungry players that will carry the club forward in the future. I will follow the Royals home and away and for me success is staying up. If he keeps us up next year, I'll be delighted and I'll be singing McDermott Whoah, McDermott Whoah. He used to manage Slough, he is a Royal now.

Next year, success means survival. Then we build year by year a new challenge to go for promotion.
