Spur of the moment stuff....

People like you over-analyise, hang on until you find fault to pick at........personally I couldn't give a f11ck if TD raises a few octaves when our striker misses a match-winning sitter.........our striker missing a match winning sitter p1sses me off more

How sugar-coated would you prefer it?

Just chill, enjoy the anecdotes.....and hopefully enjoy the pitchside coverage

It's not spur of the moment when it's an ever increasing amount over a period of quite some weeks. And professional commentators are paid to be just that, professional.

I personally hope Ian doesn't rest until all critique and negative analysis is banished from the airwaves

Though tbf there is a lot we could learn from the Yale students in the above. Perhaps we should ban clapping at the Madejski and implement finger-clicking only.

If Vydra didn't pile up an ever increasing amount of misses, when it's easier to score over a period of quite some weeks, then there would not be ever increasing criticism over quite some weeks.

Why do so many of you think that complaining about Dellor's MANNRT,
the extremity of his ranting, the vitriol, the OTT-ness

is in some way saying criticism is wrong?

Nobody is saying criticism Vydra is wrong. It is the manner of the criticism that was wrong.

In sandman's case it's because he likes to take on a contrarian position to polarise an argument.

Did Dellor tone things down then for the Leeds game on Saturday? I only heard the pre-match build up where I don't think Dellor mentioned the name Vydra even once.

Hopefully they will be calm this evening and appreciate the fact that we will be experimenting with the side against strong opposition. Hopefully Dellor won't throw his toys out of the pram if we don't get the result this evening. I will be at the game so won't be listening to any of the coverage. Maybe just a little bit in the car on the way home.

I look forward to all the over-reactionary tweets and texts.

went out of his way to not discuss it at all, or to criticise him at all during commentary.

was more pleasant to listen to I guess, but the fact he did it begrudgingly and kept going on about how he was making a point and being bland on purpose kind of spoiled it slightly.

no one said don't mention it timmy. just try not to mention it all the time, and don't hget all screechy mental about it during commentary

Only because he was called into the office of a senior RFC official pre-match and given a dressing down for having the temerity to criticise employees of the club 8)

Good about oxf*rd time.

Was at the game so don't know what he was like, but I hope similar to Leeds. And v Leeds Gooding still said what needed to be said about Vydra, but without coming across like a screaming lunatic.

Tbf all this fuss - rightly or wrongly - about Dellor's comments has in fact detracted from Dellor doing what I want him to be doing and that is asking BMc why he is persisting with Vydra in any case given he is highly unlikely to be with us next season and some young blood can be given a run out in his place  I suspect that Brian would squirm at that question given that I strongly suspect contractual obligations have been put in place necessitating Vydra's selection.....if so, well done Nick(y) Hammond, Mr ****ing Teflon himself :|

He hasn't been.

He dropped him for a few games and then brought him back in when injuries force him to.

No. The majority of them are out on loan so aren't around to play in the first place. Next...

FWIW, our young forwards (using that term loosely):

Samuel - loan
Liburd - loan
Tanner - loan
Fosu - winger/loan
Stacey - winger/loan
Novakovich - injured
Kelly - loan
Sheppard - loan
Barrett - potential mindset issues
Cardwell, Smith - not ready
Others - very unready

If Nova and Liburd and Samuel were being kept out by the current forwards then I think we could be justifiably a little miffed.
