Realistic pricing. Fair play to the club.

It was never in question that we would renew.

We can now, finally, move on.

So my ticket goes up and justified by this:

In the Upper West, adult season ticket renewals are to rise by £25 – but incorporated in that small increase will be a range of both simple and complex renovations that will be in place at the start of next season and will serve to enhance those fans’ matchday experience at Madejski Stadium.

To enhance the match day experience rather than trying to find more ways for me to part with more money just get rid of the feckin' PR bell end who shouts bollocks at the start of each game.

Now that's probably worth £25 alone.

IN for mine. £50 saving, very pleased. Plus the added benefit of a 16/17 Promotion Party Countdown Thread

I was lucky I was in the 18-24 category and paid £135 for my ST last year. Now im in the adult category I have to pay £240 more! Despite that and the current dross being served up il probably renew like I always do

Y26ers. You should all move to the North Stand and save £50. Get some proper support behind the goal, not stuck in the corner where no-one can hear you!

Tilehurst_13 Personally think the prices are a little disappointing especially, when looking at schemes other clubs are implementing.

My ST is in the east stand so no change in price for me. Not sure I can justify the expense to watch the current dross on show.

What football quality guarantees would you like?

It seems incredibly short-sighted of the club not to stop the passage of time for you

It'll be nice next season if it is more of the supporters who are turning up to the matches, to chant, to sing and to actually support the team and the club and less of the customers who just moan because their ludicrous expectations are not being met.

I'll renew but it does feel like going through the motions at the moment. If it wasn't for the social side of meeting up with friends I wouldn't even consider it.

I had hoped that the Thais were going to do something drastic to fill the seats up after the disappointing attendances of this season. Though I suppose getting even more fickle season tickets holders who can't be bothered to go to half the games won't help.

I think the club really need to look at the social aspect alot more. Because when the football is sh*t that is what keeps you going. And at Reading the social side of it is pretty bad at the moment. There is alot that they need to work on.

I started going to Reading games about 8 seasons ago and got a season ticket after a couple of years. It seems to me that apart from the promotion period under McDermott that the atmosphere has been pretty bad all along. I don't have too much to compare it to but i get the impression that we have a pretty bad fan base in terms of making noise and general support. Would others say that's fair?

As you've probably noticed during your 8 seasons of attendance, it seems to depend on who we're playing and the occasion etc. Generally if we've got a few scallies to kick against verbally, the atmosphere tends to ramp up. What I do know is that, when we played at Elm Park, Reading had quite a reputation for their chants of wit and sarcasm. Whereas these days it's generally about stabbing Swindon fans and the w*anker in the shorts. The imaginative and novel chants seem to have dried up. You also have to bear in mind that Reading is a transitory town for quite a few of the employees who work here for silicon chip companies, and so there isn't always going to be the same atmosphere, that you tend to find at the hotbeds of football around the country.

They don't have to money to bail us out for big losses on a yearly basis.
we don't make enough money to finance the team.
our season tickets/day tickets were already pretty cheap, and that is one of the reasons we don't make enough money.
they need to ensure crowd numbers don't drop too much while at the same time ensure enough money is brought in to finance the running of the club.
If you think a club/owner in that position should really be dropping prices even further than the 50 quid they've just knocked off, I must respectfully disagree. it can only impact on the pitch, or the bank balance, and both of those areas are vital to the continued success of the club.

agree generally

but I first heard songs about stabbing Swindon at elm park
and one of the best matches for singing I ever went to there involved constantly swearing and abusing some poor lady in white from stoke.
