View from many Chelsea fans seems to be that he won't make it and they should look to sell. Shame but strikes me as a player more suited to football in Italy/Spain, somewhere abit less physical.

He adds quite a lot going forward and is a goal threat + gets a few assists but goes missing at crucial moments leaving us vulnerable at the back. I think we may have adopted the diamond formation in midfield to accommodate his inclusion in the team and to cover for his defensive weakness. Then the other teams sussed us out - Rotherham away was the first match where we showed these weaknesses and we were lucky to draw 1-1. Then we kept getting stuffed as the opposition overran us in midfield week in-week out.

tend to agree, it probably not in his nature to work his nuts off defensively but equally we were getting picked off when he wasn't in the side ? ...

Agree with some points here, but don't agree with those who are writing him off completely.

Agree with all the "lightweight" comments, though the more he played, the better he dealt with "championship" defending.

Focusing on his positives, other than Ola Ola Ola John I can't think of a player who was more positive this season going forward. Love him or hate him, he created more (or at least tried to create more) than most of our other midfield players.

That was the first name I thought of. In fairness, very few did see him. He was a grown man with the physique an an 11 year old child.

He did score an amazing header, I think against Sheffield United, where the ball just seemed to bounce off him into the top corner from 15 yards.
