Hoop Blah I didn't realise Leigertwood was involved down there these days.

There's always been a good turn out of (ex)Reading players down there supporting Bobby so thought he'd picked up a new nickname.

In all seriousness though, he's done a great job there.

What a job he has done, hopefully we will take our u21s there again pre season

Grimsby turn the tie around against Braintree with a 2-0 win. Play FGR for a place in the Football League.

In the NL North, AFC Fylde will play North Ferriby United whilst in the South, Maidstone await the winners of Ebbsleet v Whitehawk which appears to be heading to extra time as I type.

'fleet edge it 3-2 on pens.

Following on from the musings of our resident Kroonerphobe 8) ; Camberley look as if they may end the season 'potless' as well as missing out on 2nd place and promotion to STEP04.

I spotted they were edged out last Wednesday at Molesey in the Southern Combination Cup semi-final - 'Moles' now play 'Chicks' from Dorking in the Final this Wednesday @ Molesey.

.... on the same night Camberley can at least recover something from the season - which has been more than good in general of course - with a win in their last Cup Final at Aldershot's Rec - but they are up against Farnham again, this time in the Aldershot Senior Cup.

This coming Tuesday sees the first of the MadStad local Finals : Berks Trophy Centre - Cookham Dean vs AFC Aldermaston. 19:00 KO

Then on Thursday (10th) is the premier Sunday Cup competition (the minor one's are all held at Scours Lane two this AM/PM - one next Sunday 15th)

The MadStad game on the 12th sees Emmer Green v Richfield Rovers also 1900h KO.

The line-up of the final Final [Reading Senior Cup] is as yet undecided as the Semi-Finals are yet to be resolved - but I suspect it will be scheduled for a Sunday PM possibly on the 22nd and will be between Highmoor/Binfield vs Henley/Westwood

Fylde's new 6,000 capacity Mill Farm stadium for next season looks pretty impressive.

For those wondering Fylde is one of those conglomeration names for an area rather than a specific place. They actually play in Wesham which is about halfway between Preston and Blackpool.

Given that Vase finalists Hereford have sold night on 20,000 themselves, it's no surprise the crowd is so large.

I wonder how many will stick around for the trophy game though, especially if Hereford lose. Unless there's extra time, there's going to be a big 2 hour gap between the two games.

wow i didn't know Hereford sold that many.

Yeah the gap is a real shame. Would be great if they made some sort of fan park that people could leave the stadium for although i suspect it'd get a bit lively with some of the bandwagon jumpers

...just a few final dribbles :? to end the season locally :

MadStad Finals were completed: this week - Henley Town won a real rip-roaring thriller in front of about 400 vs Binfield - 5-3 in extra time.

Last week the minor honours went to Emmer Green in the Sunday Senior Cup (Tilehurst Charity Cup) overcame Richfield Rovers 3-2, also in extra time.

...and Cookham Dean edged past AFC Aldermaston in the TVL Cup Final (Berks Trophy Centre) 1-0

...not sure if I covered these before but ....

Camberley finally lifted some silverware beating Farnham 2-1 in the Aldershot Senior Final last w/e

Whitchurch were too strong for Tadley at the Camrose in the North Hants Cup Final.

Personally my NL match count for 15-16 just edged past the 100 mark - which is something I always try to attain, between the sadly all too familiar drudgery and frankly tortuous burden, of hauling along to the MadStad, to watch 'our lot' invariably disappoint.
However I've only managed about 15 or so new grounds - which I'll try and improve upon in 16-17; this time ranging from Hitchin up at STEP03 down to the delightful Stanford-in -the-Vale in the N.Berks 2nd tier (would be roughly equivalent to STEP09).
Highlights this season (they often feature for me here) - would be the 'Crusaders' Play Off Final come back win on that incredibly soggy crowded afternoon at Bulpit Lane at the start of this month.

Will probably put together something summarising the 'ups' and 'downs' around the top 6 layers of the Pyramid - presently there does not appear to be the usual glut of reprieves, disrupting and delaying announcements regarding the new league constitutions.
- but there are a few 'enforced' transfers being mooted, along with the corresponding appeals and protests.

Hope you all managed to endure my verbose mindless witterings this season and I'll try my very best to contunue to bore the cr@p out of all of you next 'term'! :P

That Fylde stadium looks class! Very much like Fleetwood. I wonder if they could be in League 1 in a few seasons too just like them.

Always worth backing in an acca
