for god sake we are screwed. we are the new leeds united. ffs Sorry Brian I wish you were given the chance you deserved and I think most on here would agree this is a stupid decision. that will screw up our preseason. We now have no squad, no manager and really no clue. actually we are worse than Leeds we are being run like Blackpool. sod Brian out Thais out.

Pepe the Horseman Da fcuk? Where's this come from?

The Thais are turning this club into everything I hate about foreign ownership.

Absolute joke.

^ This. You can now expect next season to be a mixture of Jaap trying things out and perhaps getting a few favours from one or two places to give yet another dreadfully inconsistent and worrying season which will probably see him sacked by Christmas and another total farce ensuing

Only positive is at least he must know the English game...

They should look across to Leicester and see the stability and continuity that their owners have given to them. They didn't keep changing things up every five minutes. They gave their bosses the time to build.

By sacking the manager that got them promoted and improbably avoided relegation?

Yes, but Pearsons lads disrespected the Thai's in Thailand. So you can kind of understand why they gave him the bullet. Apart from that, there has been plenty of stability and continuity at Leicester.

All these cuddly people feeling sorry for Brian. Did these people go to Blackburn and see his team throw in the towel. Did they see Brian completely clueless. Relegation form gets you the sack, get over it.

I find it hard to care much about this.

Sympathy for McDermott is misplaced. He didn't have a job per se - he had a contract that paid him loads of money for a short while and, now that he failed to live up to expectations of the owners, is presumably being paid a small fortune to leave the premises.

Boo hoo.

Loyalty is petty much redundant in football now. The role of the modern manager is just a big money, short term contractual arrangement between parties that can be ended by either side at extremely short notice.

I'm sorry about the situation myself because I kind of liked Brian but I really can't get worked up about it. It's just the way things are these days.

At least it gives people something to talk about.

disgraceful treatment. but not surprising given our new owners love a sacking.
this is the 4th manager in 18 months
previously had four in 14 years
:| :| :| :| :| :| :| :| :| :| :|

totally screws preseason up
even with some random dutch nobody as DOF it must screw recruitment plans a little
they say it will take weeks, so that's after the season ticket renewal date too. really not sure im going to bother.
heart and soul of the club completely ripped out- (ever since anton)

If it is Stam what does it matter. He's got nothing to do with us. He'll be looking at the job as a springboard to a bigger club. So if he does well, he'll move on to the Prem. If he doesn't do well we'll just continue on this downward spiral.

We'll soon have more backroom (current + sacked) staff on the payroll than players.

Pointless...

This pretty much covers 88 football clubs. I'd much rather have a manager that will be poached, means we are doing something right.
