The media are saying the Alves transfer will go through after Barca agreed to terminate his contract so he goes for free but they save on the wages left on his contract

If Alves, Mascherano & Bartra all leave, as is being suggested, then I guess they may end up having to spend big on one or two new defenders

6ft Kerplunk West Ham really are beginning to rip the piss with the spare money they have after being given a stadium.

Sorry my mistake, not given to them. They've paid a hefty fee for it.

Isn't Suarez an attacking midfielder?

Tbf Dani Alves is only a 'full-back' because the team sheet would look weird otherwise.

I seriously expect Barcelona to go after Bellerin. Not had a Arsenal/Barca transfer saga for a few years now

the amount of talk that Barcelona are doing about Bellerin you kind of assume they will go for him this summer

22 year old centre back who joined Villarreal for €5M in January last year.

Played 23 full 90 mimute league games in the Spanish top division.

There has been another shift in transfer fees, hasn't there?
Every player of potential now goes for £20m +.
Even talk of a 29 year old Vardy at £20m to Arsenal.

As you say, this guy basically has one season behind him. How can he be worth €30m?

Fleetwood have confirmed that they do but won't say how much. media claiming anywhere between 10-40% depending on who you want to believe

Vardy is a release clause though isn't it, so is an inflated price to force through the sale rather than the actual value of the player.

My point was more in respect of what people are willing to pay. The 'going rate' seems to have jumped again.

United paid more for a 29 year old injury prone RvP a few years ago.

I'm not sure £20m for a player who's just scored over 20 league goals is a noticeable jump up. The other examples maybe though.

£20m to Arsenal is nothing.

Considering they will make £90m alone from the TV deal - plus you get about £10m for just taking part in the Champions League

£20m for player who's scored nearly 25 goals in the Premier League seems reasonable, he's English too, which usually adds a few mil

However I'm not sure he'll fit in at Arsenal, definitely can't see him getting 20+
