Well, if an overseas management team are appointed, staying here for pre season isn't such a bad idea.

bluerinse just shows that there is no money to splash around at present, even though the club received £10,535,162.00 in parachute payments last season (see Reading Chronicle report 26/7/16)

Unfortunately the wage bill was somewhere between 250% - 330% of that.

It's got to be said, but when the Slovenia trip was cancelled I was a bit whelmed. Although getting Stam and the new lads to grips with the English game against lower league opposition may prove better prep.

It got me thinking for next season and what people would like to see from a pre season schedule. I personally would like to either see a tour of, yes you guessed it, Holland planned in advance so we can actually take a travelling contingent of fans for the week, playing say three teams out there. Or perhaps even a mini tournament up at the mad Stad inviting some teams from the continent, which could be a money spinner if the right clubs were able to be attracted.

Out of interest do STAR ever pose the question to the club; and make a suggestion from the fans, or have any input with what the club plan?
