double d
Dick Habbin's hairdo
Royal Rother Walker has been a revelation of late.

If he didn't get MOTM it's a travesty I tell ya, a travesty.

Great display from Walker - MotM defo IMHO.

I thought Lallana worked his nuts off, too, but what was Mr Consistency Milner doing to not close down the chappy before he got the cross in for Ruskies goal?

Its was a decent performance and nothing less than I expected. We will qualify, what place I don't know. Lallana really impressed me, as did Alli.

I must say (even though it has been 2 days) I am enjoying the games a lot more than I did the WC. The opening game compared to Brazil v Mexico was so much better. Seeing teams like Wales, Romania and even Albania perform the way they did is refreshing. I cannot wait to see Iceland play. It is refreshing to see teams challenging like this and how even it seems.

I haven't seen everything but I agree with you on what I have - plus the lack of vomit inducing play acting has been so refreshing.

PieEater My son was in Marseille in the end that got charged by the Russians. Thankfully he's ok, reports of transport chaos afterwards as they shut down the metro, trains and buses. He managed to finally get a train at 2am.

UEFA have charged Russian FA for disorder, racist chanting and use of projectiles. English FA not charged.

Be interesting to see who's fans are the loudest on Thursday. I was surprised how many welsh fans were at the game yesterday, they seemed to have 80% of the ground and the noise they made, especially when they sang Old Land of My Fathers was magnificent. I'll take a point against England as it stands.

I'd bring in Wilshere or Henderson to replace Sterling and move Rooney into Sterling's slot... probably Wilshere as his change of pace and tempo is something no one else can bring anywhere near as well.

Russia and England threatened with expulsion if there is any more violence. Even if there is, I can't see UEFA going that far....

On Friday wrt Payet's strike Lineker said we'd already seen the goal of the tournament, Modric proves him wrong just 2 days later

Yeah, that was fantastic patience and technique.... I bet he couldn't do it again if he had another 10 tries. That ball took an age to drop from up on high, and that was a wicked place to bounce, just where the keeper wanted to be saving it.

Norwood starting v Poland, still waiting for him to touch the ball.

Just worked out that the NI manager is the same Michael O'Neill we had on loan from Coventry in 1998

@ HT he really hasn't much opportunity to do anything. NI have so little of the ball and when they get it they're forced to go long. He's defended reasonably well. Some fairly strong challenges... plenty of pointing, lots of running and ok tracking. When NI had their brief spell of pressure and possession he was playing too far up the pitch to get involved in the build up where he'd be most effective.

I fancy 0-0, but Poland really ought to come out of this 2-0 winners at least.

Draws a free-kick, then delivers a Readingesque cross from it.......to the first man defender

Very much in the game now tho'

Ended up as a decent game for him, but Oxford Road will be rocking tonight

Yeah, commentators banging on about his excellent set piece delivery - er... yeah, once in every 20 or 30 they're superb. Decent game, not exactly a transfer drawing performance though. Which is nice.

Decent performance by N.I. They had a couple of half chances and mostly kept Poland at bay.

In other news, German/Ukrainian fans have been fighting in Lille....UEFA have a huge problem now.
