jd82 anyway - this is all moot.. there is no way, even if Russia bash England up again in Lille, that they are getting expelled.

I'll be happy to eat these words if it does happen

^this, "Hi Russia, UEFA here, we're kicking you out of the euros, see you in 2 years yeah?"

Kick out Russia, remove England's results against them and have the 3 teams left in the group compete in a giant It's A Knockout type event to see who goes through

They've backed themselves into a corner now. If it all kicks off inside the stadium again they can't do anything but kick them out. Can they?

Having said that, there must be some sort of quantitative assessment. One fan running onto the pitch or lobbing something at a Slovak isn't going to invoke the ban. Are 20 bad apples enough?

I can't see them going after the Welsh or Slovaks though - doesn't have the same cachet as running Europe's previous top boys all over Marseille

TFF http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36535204

LOL

Dry your eyes Cristiano.

Of course they celebrated their first point in the first match of the first major finals they've ever been to, a point secured against one of the tournament's 'better' sides containing the word's second greatest player.

They had a plan and it worked.

It's almost as if he expected them to take a step back and say "help yourself Cristiano".

If you're looking for a "small mentality" look no further than not shaking hands with them at the end of the game

Really??? didn't notice that, what an uttercunt of a man. Just trying to detract from his own tournament shortcomings by blaming a team for having an effective game plan.

I would have loved it if Iceland managed to score with that chance in the last couple of minutes.

I can't remember quite how it was worded but I remember thinking it had enough ifs, buts and maybes in the statement to find a way of wriggling out of it if they needed to.

That felt a bit against the run of play, Slovakia ahead.

EDIT - bit of a beast of a goal for the second.

The question now would seem to be whether the Russian mob decide to get Russia disqualified or just let them limp out. I can't see Russia getting much against Wales and they were extremely lucky to get anything against England... They might manage 2 points.

I think there's a good chance Wales will win the group and England will come third.

Just came across this site:
https://grapevine.is/culture/2016/06/15/as-it-happened-iceland-inflict-1-1-defeat-on-portugal/
which is a distillation of the @rvkgrapevine Twitter feed during the Iceland Portugal game. It's a hoot and that feed looks well worth following during their games.

Winner plays one of the third placed teams

Runner up plays runner up of group F
