Sounds like a few of their fans did as well.

Steward shifting the flares off the pitch was very lucky with the firecracker that went off right next to him. Thought initially that he'd been hit in the face. Should be kicked out the tournament for that but hard to see them doing it after letting Russia off with the suspended ban.

Apparently this was a small group of fans who said before the tournament they were going to do it. It was some kind of protest against corruption within their FA and government. They announced back in Croatia they would get a game abandoned. The fighting was the 'ordinary' fans attacking them to get them to stop.

Turkish coach seemed a tad annoyed with 2nd goal. Expecting hair dryer half time. If he doesn't get a reaction from them it could be a cricket score by the end.

Brosef Stalin Blatant penalty? One of the handballs?

No, as others have said the blatant one was the push in the back on Alli in the first 20 minutes ('ish).

I tried to find a clip of it but couldn't. It's been totally glossed over. To be fair there was a typically clumsy Smalling foul on Williams that could've been given too (probably wrongly IMO) as you see them given a fair bit.

Spain, the first of the big-guns that have finally woken up .....even if their third goal was worthy of an offside call

Spain can't be looking good. They're "boring", must be true because Ian Royal said so.

I thought it seemed pretty obvious any fighting would be people trying to stop them... was rather surprised when someone on commentry or punditry duty suggested it was worse than the group of Russian fans charging into the England fans and attacking them within the stadium the other night.

Nothing to get excited about. Spain beating a tactically inept, poorly motivated and generally crap Turkish team that doesn't even have much support in Turkey due to the perceived government fiddling about in their FA is hardly the work of an amazing team.

Their 3rd goal was offside as well.

If they're able to comfortably beat the decent sides in the QFs and SFs, then perhaps that's the time to get excited.

Still prefer the "total football" of the Dutch in the 70s to Spain.

Decent Belgium goal but coming just after a dreadful challenge on Shane Long that should've been a penalty.
