I was hoping someone could catch a picture of someone giving a cheeky wink to him as he left the field.

Ronaldo has standards. He gets frustrated when other people don't meet those standards and he gets frustrated when he can't reach his standards as a consequence

Poor little Rinaldo sulks because others don't meet his standards. That's called living in the real world, maybe he should get over himself and try living in it. And then practice taking penalties.

And yes, Messi's an obnoxious, tax dodging little manboy too. Doesn't make Ronaldo any less of a graceless prick. He walks around the pitch wearing an armband that says "Respect" yet his attitude towards his opponents is utterly lacking on respect. He's the captain, he sets the tone. His conduct in the Iceland game was similar to my autistic 6 year old daughter's when she doesn't get her own way and I don't accept it from her, so why should it be deemed acceptable for a 31 year old man.

Now that's a fact of life

Why such incredible levels of hatred for him?

I just see him as a bloke who has worked very hard to get to be one of the best 2 or 3 people in the world in his chosen industry and when things don't go as planned then he looks upset as he appears to be someone who doesn't hide his feelings.

I don't hate him, Just don't think a grown man with such a finely crafted public image should openly behave like such a spoilt brat because another team do a number on him.

If Rooney or Bale or any other player came out with similar sentements after the Iceland game, I'd be equally appalled.

With his skill, charisma and undeniable ability, he had almost become the acceptable face of world football in his maturing years.

His attitude post-Iceland, pretty much undid a lot of that good work.

Back to his panto-villian "love to hate" persona

Shame really

This is depressing. I fancied watching Romania-Albania tonight, but they have Lawrenson on as "colour." I thought they'd finally sacked the tedious old bastard.

+1, loving albania, norn iron and iceland. Beena great Euros so far, thoroughly enjoyed just chilling on the sofa when it's pissing down outside with some snacks and chatting to friends on messenger about the game. I'm really gonna miss this.

You can still sit inside eating and talking to your friends on the internet when the Euros have finished.

England - dominant, but didn't score or create clear enough chances.

Keep plugging away, being mindful of the break and it will come though.

That draw against Russia is looking pretty poor right now isn't it.

Spent almost as much time watching the Wales match....Guntz looking half decent, spending as much time down the Russian wing as he is his own

Yeah, set pieces have been poor but Henderson has been decent otherwise.

Wilshere's taking a few too many chances and playing a bit high for me. But he is trying to force an opening, which is ok with me, even if the execution isn't great. He's not caused too many issues for his team mates and you just know he can create a moment of jaw dropping magic out of no where to win the game.

Lallana's been a bit less effective off on the left. Not sure about Sturridge.... wouldn't it make sense for them two to swap?
