Fitting that the kit was launched in space, considering there's no atmosphere up there either.

It would take an utter spasmoid to purchase a shirt anyway. £65 if including the Championship badges + player name!

Utter spasmoidal virgins.

Did you feel good writing that? Did you chuckle to yourself?

Only done name & badges when we got promoted the first time around, in case it never happened again. Wouldn't do it for the Championship. If we got relegated and then won the league the year after, I would consider getting the gold badges that would come with it.

Yeah, I did actually. You should try attempting humour some time!

My 2p's worth, the kits look OK, I probably won't buy them though, haven't bought a new shirt for years, but if really tempted to use my tenner off I'd go for the away. As for the launch, cracking idea and if other team's fans are gimping about it then that's their problem I reckon

The bright primary colour trim on the keeper kit reminds me of a shell suit I had in the early 90s.

One thing about the launch, they should have delayed opening the megastore until after the reveal as this AM they had everyone standing around waiting while they first put up the shelf brackets and then started hanging the shirts out

Is the away kit "normal" yellow or luminous yellow? It looks different in the space video, on the website and the pictures put up here on the thread?

Based on this http://hobnob.royals.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=104989&start=4040#p4371317

I think it will be a luminous yellow. the heavy use of black might tone it down a bit though.

No Fixed Abode
Maneki Neko faded hoops at the back makes it look like theres been some sort of colour failure at the factory

Yeah - looks a bit odd imo.

Thoughts are with you on the high vis and no collar on the home shirt thingy. No promotion this season then.

no championship win.

but with a collared away shirt, perhaps a play off win is on the cards still

away shirt is growing on me, though we will look like referees

my one and only gripe is if they were going to 'green' our badge, why didn't they do the same to that ghastly dead cow head logo

No Fixed Abode I wasn't impressed with the new Reading kit. Then I remembered I'm 36 and not on the sex offenders register and quickly got over it.

For someone who claims not to be bothered about kits, you spend an awful lot of time talking about kits and starting threads about kits and then consistently being the only person to add to that thread (in General Football) throughout the year when new kits that no one but you seems to care about are launched.

Are we, therefore, to surmise that you are on the sex offenders register and you are also older than 36?

You need to lighten up Scutterbucketz.

Thought so. And you're nearly 40.

And my post was very much tongue in cheek, m9.

Anyway's back to the kits; If you ignore the faded back bollocks, has there ever been a new kit as similar as the last?

Away kit reminds of me of Huddersfield's last season.

I quite like them. Will get the away one with what I said before when VDV signs.

Great use of Stabilo highlighters.....like many others before us.

As a side dish, when was the club statement from a few years back saying that we would only change (home) kits every two years unstated?
