Interested to know how much it's costing most on here per game (travel + ticket).

Currently costing around £70 per game (without season ticket) coming in from London.

Probably costs me about £20 per game to come from London, park at the speedway, get a programme. Not including our season ticket costs.

I can dream! Getting into Paddington and then Reading and then the shuttle bus before even thinking of purchasing a match ticket is quite costly.

£125 a year for a ST. No petrol costs as I can expense them. No parking costs as we can park for free. So works out as £5.43 a game. :?

I guess about £35 including season ticket cost.

Season Ticket - £375/23 = £16.30
Park & Ride bus = £3.50
Round of beer for me and 2 uncles = £12.60
Petrol from Basingstoke to P&R - £1.50ish

Well, I'm an OF (Old Fart) with a season ticket so games average out at £10 for me! Unfortunately I drive from Stevenage to the Foster Park & Ride. The journey is 64 miles x 2 = 128. At 45p per mile (usual rate for expenses taking everything into account for my car and my mileage per year) that is £57.60. The parking is free and so is the bus (I have a bus pass) but a drink and a burger come to £9.40 so a game costs me ...
£10 + £57.60 + £9.40 = £77

I've been scared to make that calculation before - and no wonder That's a chunk out of the pension!!!! Maybe I'd better start supporting Stevenage - and I could still see Jobi McAnuff and Rowan Liburd who now play for them!!

Not sure what car you drive but if you pay £57.60 per 130 miles you should probably look at changing it....

£5 return unless they've put the prices up on the footy buses.

I drive 26 miles a day to and from work in a 1.6L automatic, it costs me £5 a day or less and that's non even motorway driving. 130 miles would work out at £25.

Last season, for a normal saturday game, about £50 I think. ~£30 rail and about £20 match ticket based on a season ticket.

If I drive it's probably less than £1, if I cycle it's nothing.
Don't buy a programme or food/drink and don't buy a ticket as I stand outside and just listen to the roar of the crowd.
Frankly it's cheaper than staying at home.....

Thanks for the advice, LW, but my car (10 year old convertible Megane) is nothing special. I used the 45p per mile because that is what is (I understand) generally used by businessmen claiming expenses and it is approximately what the AA estimate on their site. This rate doesn't just take into account petrol, of course, but also depreciation. tyre wear, a proportion of car tax and insurance costs, etc, etc. Taking petrol alone then £25 is about right FL!

North stand season ticket works out as £14.50 per game, bus to the train station is £1.60 Network railcard boils down to £1.30 per game, train from Bournemouth £25.80 (taking into account the rail card discount) £4 for the shuttle so all together, £47.20 per game...that's a bit depressing.

£1085.60 a year before cup matches or eating or drinking anything.
