AthleticoSpizz Well yes of course, and as you quite rightly allude to, the lack of points won by an intimidating atmosphere could one-day see them with the poshest ground in the Championship or worse.

I don't think they'll be the same this season. 13th I'm predicting.

Nice scaffolding stand behind the goals... awful awful views from even half way up. I cannot warm to that stadium. It shouldn't be a football ground.

Bet they still try and sell those seats behind the scaffolding as restricted view.

Crux Prefer our stadium every day of the week. At least it's built for football.

Completely and 100% agree. I was having this discussion with a m8 and said this.

Our stadium was built for Reading to play football in (or what passes as football these days  ). I'd rather that, then us just going out and finding an empty stadium somewhere, then moving our stuff in and sticking a few Reading FC pictures up

West Ham not giving Chelsea full allocation of tickets due to 'infrastructure issues". Well, you've had enough time to know that you have to give over 10% to away fans in cup games............

Under competition rules, away teams can claim up to 10 per cent of the stadium’s capacity to sell to their own supporters. Chelsea requested their full allocation — 5,700 tickets of the 57,000-capacity stadium — but West Ham are restricted to hosting 5,200 opposition fans because of infrastructure issues.

Hasn't it always been 10% subject to the ability to segregate the crowds efficiently?

No shit Sherlock.

But WHU knew it was 10% - so surely when redeveloping the ground (as they have been for ages) - you would put the infrastructure in place to hold 5,700 away fans.......

It's 500 tickets, Kes.

It could be 5000 tickets and you still wouldn't go, so why do you care?

This is one of the truly remarkable leaflets distributed by West Ham's mongiest fan before the Chelsea game. It's the little touches that make it: the way he uses "F##CKIN" to avoid offending people's sensibilities, and the copyright notice at the end - as if someone else would want to take credit.

Embarrassing. Kinda reminds me of those song sheets handed out at the Mad Stad quite a few seasons ago.
