We've fallen a place since we scored ironically....

royalp-we That wasn't a game for Swift and we soaked up the pressure and nicked a winner.

I'm overjoyed for Obita. He must have been a bit gutted seeing Tyler sign; Yet Blackett firmed up the left of defence today; but after the winning penalty in the week then getting the assist today some competition for Obita might be just what he needs.

It has to be said, Our back line is beginning to look pretty solid. We will get tougher challenges but they'll get even stronger given time. As the saying goes, you need to build from the back... After Wolves & Newcastle it showed we needed to be stronger, we were much stronger today.
... without van den Red Card in the back four.

RoyalBlue And now Kermorgant airkicks at a great opportunity from a corner!

We need a decent striker before the window closes!

Kermorgant has to be one of the biggest disappointments since he signed - given his previous 'strike-rate' ?

The criticism appears to have worked! No worries at all about egg on face if we now hold on!

No problem, happy to take some credit here - always rated Kermy

P!ssed Off When was the last time none of a league starting 11 came through our academy?

All that bollocks talked over the Summer...

Van den Berg taking Swift's spot in CM is an absolute joke.

Even though we won?

That was why we won, was it?

Royals and Racers Very surprised Swift is on the bench !!

Wasn't a 100% fit. Always a doubt for the game.

If you came to the game you'd understand the formation. Worked perfectly.

Given the chances he'll score as he proved today.

I watched the game thanks, so you can give your tedious "I went to the game so I know better" a rest this week.

Who knows? The fact is we did win even with an absolute joke in CM. Maybe you should allow things to develop before slagging off the managers decision making? Just maybe.

So swift was injured and was never going to play but still made the bench ahead of Kelly?

I'm sure that'll do great things for his confidence

Oddly Kelly was less than 100% fit and I suspect the rest will do him good. Hopefully he'll make the game against The Gas next week.

Yeah tbf a stream with 1 camera angle focused on the player with the ball shows everything you need to see. Can't see the off the ball movement, not being able to see the organisation players bring to a team, the fact you think VDB replaced Swift when he played a completely different role in the midfield than Swift would. But yeah your quaLOLity stream is better/equal than going to a game.

You show yourself as clueless time and time again on here. Give up.

Really impressed with VDB in midfield today. Thought he had an excellent game.

Van den Berg replaced Swift in CM.
Fact.

I'm aware they play different roles. That's why the game was so dire.

Yeah and instead of being dicked away from home, we won 1-0.

That Cardiff team won't be dicking anyone this season.

An understandable assumption to make considering their only win thus far is against a Blackburn side who look favourites for relegation after 5 games.

The game was dire because Cardiff offerred nothing. They didn't even press us.

You can claim that all you want, but we've lost both our other two away games this year where Swift has looked anonymous. He's also got a tight hamstring currently. Oh and yeah an absolute joke for us to record our first away win (in the league) since Bolton at the beginning of April.

If anything Swift and Williams play similar roles. They will probably be the two who interchange.

VDB is the enforcer in the middle to give us some toughness, Evans is the ball player who spreads the play and dictates the game and Swift/Williams will be the creative guys who link up to the top 3. Unfortunately we can't play them both away from home. The only option would be to have Swift or Williams playing one of the wide roles up front.... But that would be a joke as well.
