Birmingham (H) Prediction Thread

Brum won at Fulham today - they had 35% possession but had 25 shots in the game

Sets it up well for Tuesday evening - I'm calling a 1-2 loss (like I predicted against Ipswich :D )

Not sure we're ready to get three wins in a row.

I'm hoping the timid and fragile Reading that showed up against Newcastle and Wolves doesn't make a return, so I'll go with a 0-0 bore draw as we continue to be slightly toothless, but don't commit suicide at the back.

EDIT

Gary Rowett is one of the best tacticians in the division, especially away from home, so it will be fascinating to see how he sets up against our new pattern of play. They've produced a classic away performance against us the past two years by sitting in, allowing the two centre backs to have as much of the ball as they like, whilst marking our two full backs in wide areas. Having stopped us playing they've then been patient enough to wait for mistakes and then taken their chances when they came along.
He also played Donaldson left side of midfield last year in order to try to isolate him against Gunter at the back post when Cotterill got in a crossing position which I thought was very smart.
I'd expect more of the same on Tuesday but I think we'll score if Swift is back in the side. Hopefully we'll do it in the last minute again so they don't have time to respond but I'll go with 1-1 in another tactical affair.

i find it very hard to predict our games this season.

The way we play out from the back is risky business and the day we get caught out is the day we're going to lose. At the same time, certain teams find it very hard to deal with the way we play and you just can't tell who can deal with us and who can't. Some teams that roll others over every week will get rolled over by us.

I haven't really got a clue. So I'm going to say Reading 2 Birmingham 0.
