Sutekh Wolves 2-0 Reading
Wolves 0-4 Barnsley

Barcelona 7-0 Celtic
QPR 0-6 Newcastle

I presume you're saying we should be tanked about 10-0 at Barnsley. They clearly are scoring for fun and it's going to be an interesting test, but then they lost 4-2 to ipswich and we beat Ipswich, so....

Hard to say how good they are

They've beaten the clubs currently 14th, 16th, 19th, 20th, 22nd

lost to Huddersfield (top) and Ipswich (8th)

Wolves (16th) 0-4 Barnsley
Preston (19th) 1-2 Barnsley
Barnsley (22nd) 4-0 Rotherham
Huddersfield (Top) 2-1 Barnsley
Barnsley 3-2 QPR (14th)
Barnsley 2-0 Derby (20th)
Ipswich (8th) 4-2 Barnsley

Don't what to expect from the game Saturday, guess it could go either way, but one thing I do know is that Barnsley have gone from the bottom 4 in division 3 last november to sitting in the play off area in division 2 today so are not going to be phased by a club turning up and playing pretty possession football in front of them.

They will have a lot of self belief and confidence from this past run and it is going to be difficult enough to stop them scoring let alone trying to get our punchless attack to net one, or more likely the two or three that'll be necessary to get something from the game.

Walter Zenga cancelled Wolve's day off today and brought them in for training at 9.30. Barnsley scored their first in the 73rd minute or something which was apparently the cue for Wolve's to completely throw in the towel and give up with Barnsley consequently scoring another 3 before the end of the game. Still, they'll be hard.

Sticking with my 3-0 prediction.

Don't see a prediction thread for Barnsley.

I don't have a clue about this one. "On paper" says we could get tanked but I am hoping that performances like Newcastle and Wolves away are not to be repeated.

Some Stam tactical genius and we might even nick it 0-1 but I'd be happy with a draw, and that's my prediction

I know that this game against Barnsley is going to be tough and with a possibility of getting thrashed today, I'm in no doubt feel that this is a test. It will be interesting to see how fair we come since Stam had came in over the summer. As us being toothless in the attacking positions and is lacking empatuide along with willingness to get into the box. Get that sorted then I believe we can start to go to places with this side.

CountryRoyal Think it's worth throwing the Brentford away game into the mix as that takes us to 10 games in which was the suggested benchmark to make s more genuine assessment of how we are doing.

Birmingham (H) D 0-0
Barnsley (A) L 3-0
Huddersfield (H) D 1-1
Brentford (A) D 2-2

Never been happier to be wrong.

Have just stumbled on this site (hope I haven't damaged it) and just wanted to say that, but for a decent striker, RFC could go all the way this season. The Stam revolution really seems to be working. The squad appears to have been re-invented, mixing good existing players with inspired incomers, the whole team, new and old, seem to have bought into Stam's vision and each performance and result seems to prove that the whole package is starting to work.

Huddersfield will be a good test but they definately ain't unbeatable. Brighton, Brentford also over the next few matches.

If a striker can somehow evolve from the current squad, or if a real prospect comes in in the January window, RFC can definately be contenders.

This is my first football post, I chose RFC years ago after a fan convinced me but I rarely get to visit due to distance and commitments. I have been to the Madstad, but most of my support is, unfortunately second-hand. I envy you guys and girls who can watch all of the games.
