This before and after the game.

Absolutely no reflection of the standard posturing that took placing in the stadium.

lovely people.

3rd that. Had a laugh with a few of them on the bus on the way back. Almost stereotypically 'northerners are friendlier'.

Huddersfield is easily the nicest of the big West Yorkshire towns and cities and as a result, it breeds easily the nicest of the West Yorkshire people.

QPR AWAY

Due to a fairly pathetic match and bftg thread heres a few bits from http://www.wearetherangersboys.com

MOTM was goalkeeper Smithies,he reads the game superbly and stopped 2 goals by his quick reactions coming out.

Polter assaulted most of the Reading team.

i wish we had someone like their no 23 ,williams ( i think ) making intelligent runs and attacking through the middle , i thought he looked class today ,either that or we made him look class !

You really think we deserved to win and not Reading? We got a point due to smithies.

They take patronising to an almost eerie level in the Thames Valley. Ianroyal's post was the message board equivalent of a pat on the head and a "run along now" from your weird pissed up uncle who everyone always thought was a bit smarmy and weren't sure which way he swung.

It really did make them sound like an uneducated bunch of kids, we really did get out chanted, "Readings a shit hole I want to go home" their response "why don’t you go home why don’t you go home back to your shit hole why don’t you go home", but our boys still came back with the same chant later again to be made to look stupid again. I thought the best was " is this a library is this a library" their response a loud shsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, come on guys stop embarrassing yourselves. Then singing “we loose every week your nothing special we loose every week” topped it all. I don’t go to many matches Brentford will hopefully be my next, might just seek out the one that starts these off and have a chat.

It was the first time I've heard us to the shsssssssssssssss - a great and suitably appropriate comeback. Probably the only way we could respond, given that we were actually very quiet throughout most of the game. I thought the Burton fans were pretty good, given their relatively low numbers and their team's poor record away from home. Must be tough keeping the support going when you've just seen them gift two more goals to a home team.

I did actually like what they did with their drum, rather than try and dictate the beat of the chants they just had it constantly going during periods of the game like a war drum and for their turnout they did alright, did get a bit quieter after going 2-0 down but I can understand that.

For a team that is playing way above its normal level, I think it's a bit disrespectful of their fans to sing "you're nothing special, we lose every week"

Can't imagine their players are too impressed with that

I found that funny the first time I heard it; I always appreciate self-deprecating chants.

However, I imagine they sing it at every away game. The players are probably wondering why the should bother if their fans seems to delight in pointing out how shit they are, especially considering they're at their highest level for such a long time.

just googled. Burton Swifts and then Burton United played in the old Division 2 in the 1890's and 1900's. This is Burton Albion's highest level, though.

you're welcome. It may well be useless information. Although if our fans could sing about it when we play up there, we'll really be showing their unoriginal, ill-researched chants up.
