Crux Pearson requested not to take charge of club tonight by the board.

Got to give him more than 9 games IMO.

No doubt they'll appoint someone new and have a bounce against us.

Interesting phrase in this Telegraph article...

During his meetings with the undercover reporters, Mr Pagliara moaned about a “reformed rogue” of a manager who “used to need the money but he’s had so much now that all of a sudden he’s whiter than white”. He said: “I felt like saying '[X], you’ve had more backhanders than Wimbledon, what are you talking about?’ “You know he’s a wheeler and dealer don’t you?... he gambles 20 grand a day, he needs to make money… he’ll be earning three or four million, he still wants 50 grand in cash.”

The manager last night denied taking bungs. Another coach who has managed several British clubs was allegedly sacked by one club after being “caught with his fingers in the till”.

Known for liking a “bung”, according to Mr Pagliara, he said the former manager would get involved with the fake Far Eastern firm “providing that you understand that when we do deals I have to have a carrier bag with some cash”.

The club that sacked the manager last night said he had been dismissed because of poor results on the pitch.

Pardew and Pearson?

Pardew used to enjoy a flutter with Mike Ashley et al

The sacked coach could well be Pearson

The media this morning saying that there are 8 current and former PL managers also caught up in taking bungs from agents.

Allardyce & Redknapp would always be a given in these kind of things really. Pulis too I assume. Would be no surprise to see Pardew's name come up I reckon,

that leaves me with 4 spaces to fill.... (Steve Bruce would be no shock)

I would add MH to that list, maybe a now newly recruited international manager,

LWJ Sven Goran Eriksson for sure.

I've no doubt that he's one of those who's likely had his hand in the till too, but I think they're saying it's current or recent Premier League Managers so I'm not sure he'd count.

I'd be surprised if most of them haven't taken a bit off the top to be honest. Much like the MPs expenses, it sounds like it's almost standard practice.

Could be I suppose.

One of the agents that's at the heart of it was banned in 2005 so you could well be right.

Steve Clarke wouldn't surprise me actually, but he's probably too small fry. Can't see McDermott or Coppell being involved.

Rodgers perhaps. Probably not Adkins.

Just from a former Royals perspective.

Are we worried about our own manager?

I remember a while back reading that Tevreden, Stam, Ulderink, van den Berg, Jaakkola and some other arrivals all belong to the same agency, but that wouldn't be breaking any rules would it?

Cue meltdown when a video emerges of Jaap in an Italian diner accepting 100k to sign Joseph Mendes

I did think about it. Looks like all the Championship ones have been announced though, I think.

If Tommy Wright is the next big name they caught, this story has now run its course!

More than a little underwhelmed by the names being released

You mean the ones who don't have enough money to make it all quietly go away?
