exileinleeds Anyone got any old betting accounts they no longer use with maybe a few pennies/pounds doing nowt?

NOW would be a very very good time to retrieve your money as at least two companies are about to raid dormant accounts to pay annual staff bonuses.

One very well known company is in the process of taking over another very well known company, they have reserved an amount of £50M (more than their profits) to give away to the directors when it is all finalised.

That last sentence^^ is not generally known and they would really hate for it to get out- what with them already being warned re their license (they let someone bet £800k with stolen money)....

I don't use Betfred so im fine. TF watch your balance!

More chance of Corbyn being next PM than any of TF's accounts laying dormant for a day, nevermind months.

Correct Sanguine...

And here is the activity of the week so far:

Monday 26th - The winners

Union Berlin v St Pauli - Lay St Pauli @ 4 to win £10
Alaves v Granada - Lay Granada @ 4.3 to win £12

The losers

Cagliari v Sampdoria - Lay Cagliari @ 2.34 to win £15 - Lost £20.10

Tuesday 27th - The Loser

Brentford v Reading - Lay Brentford @ 2.44 to win £25 - Lost £36

Wednesday 28th - The winners

Ath Madrid V Bayern Munich - Lay Munich @ 2.7 to win £18
Bor Moenchengladbach v Barcelona - Lay Gladbach @ 6.6 to win £22

Balance at end of play yesterday £417

So far little movement on the account this week. I need to break past the £415 levels and push towards £500 now.

I wish. Unfortunately I have a wife.

I just didn't know what to bet on tonight. I feel the Europa League is a banana skin for us professional betsmen Brosef.

Anyone done anything tonight? Any bets placed?

I was thinking about laying Sparta Prague tonight but glad I didn't. I also thought about doing something on Southamptons game. I wish I did on that one.

So far for tonight and tomorrow I have placed the following bets:

Tonight

FC Nuremberg V Union Berlin - Lay Nuremberg at 2.4 to win £15. Liability £21
Real Sociedad V Real Betis - Lay Sociedad at 1.85 to win £20. Liability £17

Tomorrow

Reading V Derby County - Lay Derby at 2.82 to win £20. Liability £36.34

Balance dropped from £417 to £342.66 following the placement of these bets.
If all bets are successful, balance could rise to: £469.25 taking into account Betfairs 5% commission on bets placed on the exchange.

Paul the Royal, tonight Rennes meet Guingamp in the Ligue 1 Orange.

Do you agree that laying Rennes at 2.14 at home to Guingamp would be a good idea? Guingamp won this fixture away to Rennes 3-0 last season. Can they avoid defeat again tonight?

I could risk £22.80 in order to win £20 if Guingamp can avoid defeat in this game. Let me know if this is would be a good bet. I won't be cross with you if the bet loses. I'm a professional bettor now with a deep account balance. I can ride out some losses. :P

That seems like an extortionate amount of money to risk for just 50 quid. You could are betting 74 quid to get and extra 52?! That makes no sense.....

You could do a double or treble or multiple bets and that and make at least more then what you will.

Did you just call yourself a professional better? With £500 in your betting account balance. To be a professional you need to have enough in there to live off

Yeah, but Double D with double or trebles I am highly likely to lose. With a treble I have to predict three result outcomes out of 9 possibilities. To make matters worse, all three have to be exactly right for my bet to win.

Here, I win in 6 out of 9 of the different result possibilities. And if for example Derby beat Reading, that doesn't mean my other two bets will lose as well. I can still make money on the other two. If I get one result wrong, out of the 9 I will still be level or slightly ahead depending which one went wrong.

Because I think Rennes are too short. They are priced as if they almost have a 50:50 chance to win. I think their genuine chance to win is around 33%. Guingamp are a half decent side in France. I think they'll go to Rennes and get a draw. They might even nick the win.

You've answered your own question. If you think there is value there, go for it.
If everyone agreed it was value, the price would move.
