Maguire An unimportant anniversary of something unimportant.
A new low for these godforsaken "On This Day" threads.

From Despair To Where? It was a slow day and it appeared on the reports archive so I posted it as a joke.
Next time. I'll put a load of winking emoticons if that would help.

Forbury Lion To a neutral, that 7-4 game (the highest scoring game in Premier League history and joint game with the most scorers) must be right up there with Man Utd beating Ipswich 9-0..... However, is it really worth celebrating? Even if we were neutrals?
I liked the positive comment from Coppell after the game "I don't think many teams will come here this season and score four"![]()
Maybe if we hadn't missed that penalty things would have been different.

Would have been 3-3 which could have changed the rest of the game.SutekhForbury Lion To a neutral, that 7-4 game (the highest scoring game in Premier League history and joint game with the most scorers) must be right up there with Man Utd beating Ipswich 9-0..... Yes, we'd have lost 7-5. Which reminds me of that game in Doncaster in about 1983 where we crashed 7-5 with Kerry Dixon scoring all 5 for us I believe.
