Ok, I have placed that bet as well. I would have liked to know Paul the Royals opinion on it as he is our resident French Football expert.

Rennes have a 100% home record and Guingamp just lost to Bastia - I wouldn't personally have layed Rennes at bigger than Evens, but good luck!

That seems like an extortionate amount of money to risk for just 50 quid. You could are betting 74 quid to get and extra 52?! That makes no sense.....

You could do a double or treble or multiple bets and that and make at least more then what you will.

tbf laying makes more sense as the odds are in your favour 66% instead of 33%. It's a much more profitable tactic in the long run than doubles and trebles. Though you need to have deep pockets to back yourself.

Ah fair enough. I have never understood it TBF and just always done my usual double trebles etc

Security guard just gave me a bollocking at work.. he played a football lotto this weekend and asked me for some premier league advise for Southampton-Leicester and City-Tottenham. Told him to put down draw for the first game and that Tottenham would never beat City with Kane out...

He got every result right except for that game

Not around on Friday so not able to give a French League 2 update - but just as well as it looked dire with hardly any goals.

Might be something tonight across the Swedish and Norwegian Leagues so will take a look at lunchtime.

I'm waiting for the "I told you so moment" and have screenshotted the message when I had said before for him to withdraw his extra funds and start over.

See the bookies have cottoned on and won't be stung again. Odds slashed compared to previous group of games.

You know what, it wasn't Sociedad, Nuremberg and Rennes all winning that has killed me. I managed to bounce back from that dissapointment quickly and be up to £485 by Sunday afternoon, my best position on Betfair so far. I then went for Barcelona on Sunday night with the aim of finishing the weekend on £500 going into the international break. Barcelona's failure cost me big time and I dropped back to £318. I have recovered a little bit backing Stuttgart and Palmeiras by laying their opponents last night and if Southport don't win away at Solihull Moors tonight then I will be back to £400.

Prior to laying Southport I recovered from the Barcelona dissapointment to be on £383. I have risked £50 to win £20 if Solihull can avoid defeat tonight. So right now, I'm on £333. If Southport don't win, I'll be on £400.

I just wish I had £170 to bonk on Barcelona to win at their bogey team.

16 games for U23 teams and 12 of them lost. Might still be value in backing the senior teams even though they've shortened up on them.
