The sponsor on the front of the Liverpool shirt will change for their Man Utd game to instead support an avoidable blindness charity. Seems a nice touch to do that for one of the most watched football games in the world.

They w@nk themselves into a frenzy when Liverpool lose then sit too close to the monitor when trolling about it on the internet.

This United team look so Mourinhoesque. Bore the pants off the opposition and grab a goal. The scousers don't seem to have much of a clue at the minute.

6-3-1 at one point, I thought.

Yeah, that was a tough watch.

United totally bossed the first half. The high press, intense
first 20 mins totally taken care of

I wasn't really watching the second half but it sounded
like it was mostly Liverpool. United looked very ragged,
misplaced passes etc

Yep, that was pretty turgid stuff.

I hope Mourinho doesn't make a habit of having United play like that as they'll become one of the worst teams to watch and it'll be a negative for the Premier League.

Still can't believe Man United appointed JM in the first place. Absolutely dire choice

True. He has quite a record of turning attractive sides that are good to watch into dire, cynical, defensive sides that are effective (at times) but horrible to watch.

I thought United would be above appointing him, especially with his recent record of losing the dressing room.

That wasn't really my point. I just don't think he suits the Man United style at all, plus with him managing Chelsea previously I just think it was an odd move to make.

I'm not doubting that he is a good manager, I just don't think he's a good fit for MU

What a graceless little runt Mourinho is-the envy in his voice with his throwaway line about Liverpool as an entertaining side was so cringeworthy especially when your own club has spent the annual budget of some third world countries on the most expensive (attacking?) midfielder in world football.

Despite what Henderson said I think Liverpool were nervous early but gradually got into the game and dominated possession in the second half without an end result in part because of the brilliance of the keeper-I wish he would go back to Spain.
I think I heard it correctly that this game saw the lowest possession stat for Man Utd in Premier League history-if Liverpool are a long way from the eras of St John, Keegan, Souness and Dalglish, Man Utd are even further away from the eras of Law, Charlton Best and Keane.
Lol@ Giggs saying that they must spend in the next transfer window-surely one day their managers and coaches will spend time coaching their very expensive purchases and earn their own massive salaries.

Just a few comments on the Man Utd players:-
De Gea as brilliant as ever
Smalling-confuses football with judo
Herrera-because you are little you can get away with persistent fouling but speaks very good English, better than most of their players do,including the English element.
Pogba-only one pass of any significance
Rashford-little boy lost
Rooney-old fat bloke lost

On Liverpool:-
Sturridge just doesn't fit the system and (maybe because of all the injuries) isn't brave enough
The two centre-backs-at last,2 proper defenders
The keeper-nervous and the jury is out

The managers:-
How could you dislike Klopp and how could you like yesterday's man, the Portuguese sourpuss mini Mr Bean?

As usual with these games the hype greatly exceeded the reality
