double d I see now. Basically you are betting on 2 outcomes rather then just the win of Chelsea..... so what is liability then ? How come TF bets 190 to win 50 extra? That seems extreme to win hardly any money.

Sanguine is right, I was foolish. I'm going to stop doing that now. I have totally calmed down. Betting for the sake of betting is not good betting. I only placed one bet on Saturday, one bet yesterday and incredibly no bets tonight. I probably won't bet tomorrow night either as I'll be busy at the Emirates. I'm happy to hold my position at £524 for the time being. I'll just wait now until an opportunity presents itself.

For what it's worth I think it's an interesting way to bet, and certainly makes sense at times. Though you need deep pockets.

I have laid Arsenal off tonight. I have risked a tenner to win £33 if Reading win or draw.

Last night, I lost £10 laying Arsenal. When I got home, a game from Brazil's Serie B was just getting under way. It was Sampaio Correa V Vila Nova. The thing I love about Brazilian football is that you can get a really good quality live stream from every single match that is being played in the top 2 divisions. And also when it comes to Brazilian football, that is where I am having most success. I seem to win practically every bet in Brazil.

Sampaio Correa are bottom of Brazil's Serie B and have only won 5 games this season from 31 matches played. Vila Nova were in mid table and have only lost 12 games from 31 that they have played. Therefore it made sense to lay bottom of the table Sampaio Correa. I laid them off at a price of 2.4. I risked £29.40 to win £21. Vila Nova were priced at around 3.3. Laying Sampaio at a price of 2.4 when they have only won 5 out of 31 games looked a very good betting opportunity to me, so I went for it.

I watched the live stream as well and Vila Nova controlled the game from start to finish. The final score was Sampaio Correa 0 - 3 Vila Nova. It was a nice easy £21 win. So I end the day yesterday on £534.84

I had a good night of betting this evening. It wasn't easy to make selections. The EFL cup is always difficult to call when you are not sure who is taking it seriously. With City making nine changes I favoured United but I wasn't confident. City's line up still looked strong. I placed the bet in play after watching the first half hour and laid City at 4/1. I risked £60 to win £20 if Utd didn't lose.

The other televised games were between strong teams versus weaker sides. That meant having to lay weaker sides at long odds. After my near disaster last week, I didn't want to go down that road again. So I took on two games from Italy's Serie A where the price was closer together. I laid Pescara against Atalanta to win £50. I also laid Chievo against Bologna to win another £23.50.

So three straight wins tonight takes the account up to £623.79. Just £22 short of my previous high of £644.

I think I'm done for tonight. There is a Nicaraguan game on. What do you think? Walter Ferreti v Diriangen. It's nil nil at half time. What shall we do. Winston? Who do I lay?

Actually Winston, you're right, the night is still young. There are a few tasty games taking place through the night. There are two play off games from MLS. LA Galaxy against Real Salt Lake and Toronto v Philadelphia.

Also tonight a huge promotion clash in Brazil's 2nd division. 2nd place Vasco de Gama meet 3rd placed Avai. Vasco are heavily backed at 1.55. Avai are priced at 7.5. Laying Vasco off looks like a decent value bet.

I didn't place any of those three through the night bets.

Today, I lost £50 backing Murray to win the first set. I really should stay out of Tennis. But I won £60 by laying off Palermo. So I have finished today on £630.

Some of my best successful bets this season has been on conference, plus the north and south versions. You should try to bet on these TF

Before his debut run over fences this week Thistlecrack was already favourite for the 2017 Cheltenham Gold Cup apparently.

That's nuts.

I have looked into betting on conference games and north and south and I have placed a few bets on these divisions. I agree, it can be a good place to do well. I watched a few Wealdstone games at the end of last season and a couple at the beginning of this season. Recently their home games keep clashing with our Reading home games so I haven't watched the Stones for quite a few weeks now. The problem with non league and betting on the betfair exchange is that there isn't enough liquidity in these markets. Non league isn't popular enough. So quite often, you can't match up your bets with someone at a price where you can do well. Sometimes you can, but often it's difficult.

Someone will want to back Margate at a ridiculous long price and you'd be mad to lay off their bet for them. Or you might offer to lay a team at a price that you're happy with and no one will match the bet with you. Recently Wealdstone have been dogged with injuries as well so it's hard to know how they're going to perform.

It was £160.

Now that I have stabilised again at close to my previous high point, I will now finally strichtly implement risk management. I should have done it before, but I keep losing my mind. I just can't seem to control myself. The chances of me going bust before I get to the grand are very high with the way that I'm betting at the moment. I hope that I've finally learned that it is better just to be patient. I will now risk no more than £30 of my capital on any individual bet. 5% of my account is what I will risk on each bet going forward. Even if I can only win £5 with it.

I have to do that now. I don't know why I can't be patient. Someone may need to hypnotise these character flaws out of my personality.
