Jack CelliersLower WestRoyal Ginger Eh? Midfield!? Really? Swift, Van Den Berg, Evans, Williams, Quinn and Kelly? I'm really not sure what more we could ask for.
Beerens 8 best game for a while
Samuels 10 easily the best thing that has happened to this football club in a decade

How many of the players you named (currently) have the ability to impose themselves and dictate a game?
As yet we don't any sign of a partnership of the Harper/Sidwell ilk.
Well VDB def imposes himself and Swift can dictate a game. Add to that the experience of Quinn, the potential in Evans and the effort of Williams and I reckon were set.
We've had a run of 4 games against teams in the lower echelons of the league. May not have conceded a goal in these games but we've certainly rode our luck at times. Not the time to get carried away.

John Madejski's Wallet For those being down on the team right now, what makes you think we can't happily end up in the playoffs?

Certainly not down. To see the club on the up once again is exciting. Having watched the last 4 games. I'm waiting a while longer before I'm going to get carried way. Hence my earlier comment. There's still room for improvement in certain areas of the squad. Yesterday Williams and Evans started, with Kelly on the bench. That was the depth of the midfield options. Very limited.

Sorry jmw... You surely can't be thinking of the ex villa striker that never lived up to early promise
Ours has far Moore potential.
Thank you, Thank you

Stranded Even if we collapse to picking up 1 point a game for the rest of the season, we will get 60 and be in the top 10. If we only pick up around 1.3 points per game on average, we are looking at the playoffs.

Ian Royal Who'd have thought when you have three injuries in one position you might start getting down to limited options.

I'm not sure we ever will. I'm not even sure any Championship team ever will. Williams and Swift works quite well for now, though.
Today was good. We kill games off quite well at the moment with our control of possession when everybody might otherwise be getting nervous. It took a while to work out the formation - I presume had Stam worked out where all the goals would come from beforehand.
Al Habsi 7 + 1 for the ED Stand fanclub
Obita 8 really good as a wing back
Moore 7 solid
McShane 7 OK
Blackett 8 crunching tackles at key times
Gunter 6 a bit lost at times - not as well suited to the wing back role as Obita
Evans 7 improving all the time
Williams 8 crucial to everything good
McCleary 8 he's back to his best
Beerens 8 best game for a while
Samuels 10 easily the best thing that has happened to this football club in a decade

Really?! Take 10 years away from 2016 and you end up with? Can't have seen much of Reading, particularly in the earlier years of that decade if you really do think that is true!

Schards#2 3rd place is way beyond my wildest expectations for this stage so well done to all concerned for that, however........just putting this out there, is anyone else really bored or is it just me?
I don't think it is, as the stadium is as silent as I can remember it in a decade or more despite our being on a good run. I guess the style of play is just passionless and that seems to transmit to the crowd. For want of a better description, I don't see or feel any "buzz" there at all. It worries my that new younger fans won't get gripped by the theatre and drama of it all as, well, there just isn't much
Does it matter if we keep winning?
