Four straight wins for Winch - I really must start going to games again. Life is getting in the way of football at the moment.
This was all the more sweet as news of our injury time (dodgy) penalty win came through on twitter seconds before Reading's late winner came in on Final Score.

Are one of the very few 'local' sides in action this midweek: H v Slimbridge on Wed
- I'm half pondering a mad dash down to the Denplan - providing my eldest offspring hasn't pinched my car again!

Sutekh What's the situation re: York Road. How much work would need to be done for Natonal Conference level football. And if there was a miracle and Maidenhead challenged for FL status could they remain there?
Tarpey on target in a 2-0 win over Wealdstone (at last) yesterday. 10 points clear in National South

It's quaint, but although it's got a nice new stand in reality the ground itself is a bit of a dump and miles away from FL status.

According to this...
http://www.efl.com/global/appendix1.aspx
...to get in, a ground must hold 4000 (with the ability to rise to 5000) and have 500 seats (with the ability to raise to 1000).
After a season in, it has to hold 5000 (able to rise to 6000) and 1000 seats (able to rise to 2000).
York Road seems to currently have a capacity of 3250 with 550 seats, so it's not miles off the initial criteria. The problem would be more around expanding beyond that.

The new stand is very good, but I'd have thought the entrance, facilities, terracing and covers (which may have absolutely nothing to do with anything for all I know) are way short of requirements.
Anyway, it would be brilliant if they could get to a position where their adequacy becomes a consideration.
