Situation defused.

Can anyone get a clip of Evans refusing Rooney's shirt? I stopped watching at 4-0.

Dick Habbin's hairdo Evans, a Citeh fan, telling Rooney where he can stick his shirt..... PMSL.

We're clearly paying him too much! The value of Rooney's shirt from today's game........

Not a great game that, but after awful first 20, was always going to be a non event

I suppose plus side is Kelly, Evans and Swift all looked tidy and ok at that level. McCleary looked dangerous at times

Downside is Yann looked way out of his depth, defence were all pretty poor, Beerens and Williams didn't look to have the required touch against a top side and lost the ball far too much

Think Stam should have played 5 at the back and Obita is far better at LB than Blackett

Still can concentrate on the league and all that

Just glad that's over. We would have never won even with our best players, all playing in their prime from the past 10 years.

Did Stam get it wrong? The best Stam could have done was to play the kids and get a real spanking. Time to wake up, we're doing good in the champ but we're no match to an inform Man United.

What surprised me was that we didn't start the game in the way that we start every game just playing keep-ball.
That might have given our players a bit of confidence rather than just kicking the ball way and waiting for the onslaught.
Could somebody please tell Gunter that he is allowed to tackle or am I asking too much of a full-back?

Well bums. This is not meant as slating Stam, it was always going to be tough eapecially with McShane out. But. Shape all wrong today.

We had to play either a genuine CB with Moore or three if VDB was included. In hindsight I think Obita for Beerens with a 5-3-2.

As for Al-Habsi's error, he should never have been passed the ball. He was under pressure with zero short options and something was always likely to go wrong. It happens and 3-0 to 4-0 I literally couldn't care less about his error.

Also thought Evans off was odd. I'm really not sure how Williams seems to be untouchable.

Kelly and McCleary the highlights. We're not ready for promotion by a big margin, but have two windows to put in that right before it becomes an issue.

McShane was very missed.

Looking forward to seeing Kelly, Evans and Swift together for a long time.

Why pick him out? Got in as many as Liam Moore, and more than the rest of the defence.

Evans could quite easily have Greed to give his shirt to someone/keep it for someone so could have just said no

Cons: VdB, Blackett, Beerens, Kermie and Williams - just not good enough. Either too old, too slow, run down blind alleys, can't pass .... get rid.

Pros: Kelly - but he does need to grow six inches. Obita - why the hell doesn't he start? Ditto Swift.... most composed player in the Hoops.
