Every time i've been to Birmingham I have walked from New Street - it's not far.

Train isn't really feasible due to lack of trains on the way home.

Yup, it's the easiest way to do. Hop in a taxi (£7 ish) from the station if you don't fancy a 15/20 minute walk.

On the way out, the route will take you through Digbeth. The Old Crown is en route. The Old Spotted Dog is a detour. Likewise, The Anchor is OK. The Digbeth Tavern, well, the old landlord beat someone to death with a pool cue and now it has a rainbow flag, deary. Clink is probably going to shit at the sight of a thousand reading fans, but I like it.

Tempted to jump on the train after work and go to this one, but concerned about the trains going back.

Would have to leave the game early I think.
