LWJ I hope our fans don't just use Tiago! Tiago! Tiago! as the choice of song for Tiago. It's all well and good, but why do we need to be so simple :x :x

I didn't go last night, due to cold and fog and lethargy
What happened to "he's magic, you know, never get past Tiago"?
sounded good at Derby

Madejski stadium on a cold Tuesday night happened.

Makes sense

One comment. Just how ******* brilliant is Kelly going to be when he has another couple of years experience?

And his own song (Mother Kelly's Doorstep)

"It's the Liam Kelly skill show
Down Basingstoke Road"

Lower West Stam altered the starting line up to counter Fulhams attacking threat and it worked well on the whole. Kelly and Swift will make a formidable partnership in time. Roll on Cardiff.

According to the EP Stam was going to start with Beerens and Kermorgant up front and drop McCleary to the bench as McCleary had a minor knock. However on the day it appears that McCleary had recovered and Kermorgant was feeling slightly unwell so Stam swapped their roles.

I was sat in the West stand last night rather than Y26 as usual but I could still here the Tiago song numerous times after he came on

Did anyone else notice the police outside the away end were Met Police and not TVP. I didn't see any TVP. Interested to know who foots the bill for them as I assume they were asked to attend by Fulham.

thought McShane was MoTM for me. Loved it when he jumped right over Martin in the second half and his booking was an awesome blood and thunder tackle. He made some exceptional blocks and interceptions, especially from Fredericks' crosses. We really miss his drive, passion and fight. Honestly thought Swift was poor last night - not at the races and surprised he didn't get replaced by Evans.

What a talent. That disguised pass to put in Swift was just sublime. I have watched that more on the highlights than the goal and penalty save.

Does look like we should have had 2 or 3 at least from the highlights. Both clear penalties IMO. Lucky to get away with the win at the end, but a deserved one.

Go to plenty of away games. Never noticed TVP in Met area before if that's what your getting at.

Just wanted to add how funny I though it was when their player, in his haste to grab the ball that was flying out for a corner, caught it and placed in on the corner, without realizing he had caught it when it was still in play and therefore gave away a free kick instead.

Every force has spotters they send to away games, possibly less so these days but for years PC Benham of TVP was a fixture at Reading away games.
I doubt Fulham 'asked TVP to attend a game at another club's ground in another police area. Why would they ?
From what I saw there were a couple of Met and three or 4 TVP just stood around chatting. Unlike Birmingham where there were fully kitted out riot squad these guys were in normal uniform and not actively doing anything.

I actually resented going last night-after the postponement fiasco, but in fact enjoyed the game.
Having been zonked by Fulham over the last couple of games-Jap showed his ability , by coming up with a plan; which at least for the first half worked really well-and then we tired.

Al Habs 7: Couple of poor passes out, which put us under pressure-however the penalty save ultimately proved to be the difference & got us the points.

Gunts 6: started badly, and never really threatened going forward-but a couple of interceptions and clearances lifted his performance.
Blackett 6: Nothing going forward, and under pressure throughout- but his substitution could have cost us .
Moore 6: Poor decision on the penalty-but steady enough
McShane 7: Unlucky with the yellow-but a stalwart throughout.
Joey 6: one of his best games-did his job & kept his discipline-one great tackle
Williams 6: Started like a hurricane;but too often lacked poise & ran out of steam.
Kelly 8: A couple of poor moments, but a real find.
Swift 5: I must be on my own here-but I thought he was poor-lost the ball a lot , missed a good chance, BUT he does supply a bit of magic now and then.
Beerens 7: On fire throughout-best I have seen him play.
Macca 6: Just not his night.

Liori: Please do not play him at FB again: he was toast.
Evans: Could'nt get going.
Kermit : Did his job & won everything in the air.

Ref : Poor once again-got the penalties right-but if McShane's was a yellow there were at least three other instances when he failed to card Fulham for similar offences & what about all those Fulham hand balls-plus was Martin a straight red for the elbow ?

WE move on-hopefully to the play offs.

So you thought Swift was worse than Gunter and Blackett?

Ok then...

I actually bought the ref was really good !
He generally let the game flow, could have given a lot more free kicks but just gave the players the chance to keep playing. He also played some good advantages, and sensibly pulled play back if the advantage wasn't developing.
I didn't think any of the shouts for handball were free kicks bar one and just because the crowd shout every time the ball hits an arm doesn't make it a free kick..
The Martin yellow looked right, he caught McShane (?) with an arm but he didn't hit him so careless rather than Han reckless.
McShane's tackle was a lot more aggressive than any Fulham tackle bar the very late one on Kelly, which the e.g. may not have seen. He could have booked more of our players but he didn't.

Fulham had some good players in midfield. Not going to dominate the opposition every game.

Why do some fans bother commenting on referees performances. Seriously. You could not get a more clearer yellow card than mcshanes and there was not a similar incident like it.

Handballs, any of them deliberate? Thought not!

Oh and as for the elbow and straight red that only you saw, gee whizz!

But yeah, poor again.
