Oh. I thought it was something more sinister. How do you know they were relating that to Hillsborough? You could argue they were singing that about Heysel, Suarez racismg8 etc.

Once again Liverpool struggle against the lesser lights (Burnley,Sunderland, Bournemouth,Swansea and Plymouth) and yet generally do very well against the better teams.
Apart from having clear defensive weaknesses they struggle against packed defences and yet are the top scorers in the country.
At the moment they mirror City in so many ways-entertaining but lacking that edge and desire that Chelsea currently posess.

Watched about 20 mins til half time. Thought they'd (LFC) be comfortable winners

Exactly sums it up. That said they are clearly a team in development where the real goal is just CL qualification rather than any silverware. Be interesting to see what transfer activity they can muster this month. They desperately need experienced defenders and FIFA being their usual bunch of arses in a) preventing Matip from playing and b) allowing the ACN to be played while most countries are in full season doesn't help.

Shane Long likes Anfield. The watershed moment for his career happened there 7 years ago almost to the day.

Shame SSN this morning focused on the penalty appeals for Liverpool as though they were hard done by. The Long handball, definite penalty. The Origi one, not a penalty for me. But then Southampton should have had one too. Lovren on Yoshida.

Liverpool were not hard done by, by any means. Sturridge had 2 or 3 gilt-edged chances.

was a penalty?.....wasn't a penalty?.....irrelevant.........the ref didn't give it.....it wasn't a penalty, and never will be.

He was an absolute abomination last night, totally taking the piss and not in a good way like Suarez used to do against Norwich
