Rival Watch

by genome » 01 Feb 2017 20:50

A thread to monitor sides around us.

It's currently Newcastle 1-1 QPR, and Blackburn 0-0 Leeds.

Huddersfield and Brighton play each other tomorrow - I'd take a draw from that.

Annoying about Leeds - just maybe something interesting with Newcastle dropping points

I risk possibly being hung by a rope for saying this but I'd rather Bri**ton run away with it. We're far more likely to end up scrapping with Huddy for playoff spot so let's see them get stuffed and stretch the gap between us....

No ?

Best of both worlds if they both drop points.

Who cares about stretching the gap between ourselves and Huddersfield? What's important is the gap between ourselves and 2nd and ourselves and 7th, everything in between is irrelevant.

All in for a Huddersfield win.

Agreed, let's get in an auto spot. I would love to see both Brighton and Newcastle go into a funk.

I'm in for the Hudds win, hoping those above start to bottle it and we can capitalise. It's either that or we'll fall away ourselves...

I hope Brighton and Huddersfield draw tomorrow but then Huddersfield beat Leeds whilst we beat Ipswich. I think Brighton will win at Brentford then hopefully Newcastle will be held by Derby or Derby win up there. Say Derby nab a draw. Wigan wont be easy for Wednesday either, a draw for them would be great for us.

Then that'll make the top 7 as follows if it was to happen.

1) Brighton (P29) - 64
2) Newcastle (P29) - 60
3) Reading (P30) - 58
4) Leeds (P30) - 54
5) Huddersfield (P29) - 53
6) Derby (P29) - 47
7) Sheffield Weds (P29) - 47

Newcastle and Brighton's game in hand is v each other so hopefully a draw if not a Brighton win in that!

Just brilliant that Newcastle dropped home points tonight. Suddenly our defeat to QPR doesn't seem quite so bad :D

As long as we can see off the tractor boys this weekend a Brighton slip could make things very interesting.

The Geordies are having a meltdown. Ashley's a parasite again. Rafa's gonna walk. They've blown their chances of promotion. Going to be stuck in the Champ for five years.

Chillout guys x

We really should be targeting a win in our next 3 - all very winnable, before we have a tough little spell of games

If we could do that, then things might start to et very interesting with the top 2

II disagree, i'd prefer they targeted a defeat.

Agreed. Then it'll be a pleasant surprise if they get a result.
