It's their Brian moment isn't it. It could just about be a logical decision from a football point of view, but Leicester have lost something by doing this. They might be a better team in weeks to come, but a far worse football club.

I've also been thinking, and sadly my thoughts below aren't realistic in the modern world of football but...

This is one of the most relevant and ideal examples of when loyalty, fairness and respect should come before things like possible relegation and poor results.

I notice none of their precious, under performing players have been sacked.

It's a disgrace that 8 months after one of the most amazing achievements ever in football, the best moment in Leicester's history, they have now sacked the man who was central to it all. Two weeks after saying they would remain united with him and support him 100%.

I read on the Leicester forum something like "well, it's official. Everyone now hates us and wants to see us relegated". Absolutely true.

Ranieri's accomplishment and reputation will remain undiminished. He will get a top flight job in short order, whether it be in the PL, Italy or wherever.

I agree with everyone who said they hope they go down. And for the players...I hope Mancini ends up there. He won't put up with the shit they just pulled on Ranieri. He's an old school disciplinarian. Reality check time for some prima donna players, get the rockets ready the inmates are no longer running the asylum. Many don't realize it but their days at Leicester City have deservedly just ended.
