FFS, just ignore the child and he'll soon get bored and go back to his Lego.

Agreed that genome should be ignored. Not sure why he took exception to those stats which started all this.

If you take the average points amassed per game over the season so far you're on course for 81 points.

If you take the average points amassed over the last 5 games you're on course for 75 points.

Oh shit. Stats again.

Form over 34 games is a better indication of season performance compared to form over 5 games.

If you take the average over the last 2 games we're on course for 60 points

Barring a major loss of form it'll be somewhere in the middle....let's say 78 points.

Now these could go wrong of course but we still have 4 of the bottom 5 to play at home, that would already account for 12 points, then we've got winnable away games to the likes of Burton, Forest and Villa. Given our strength at home, I would argue that all our home games we should be the favourites, yes even against Newcastle and then the other home game is Leeds.

Preston, Wednesday and Norwich away will certainly be tricky but I think there's enough in our fixture list to secure a play-off position.

So, remaining fixtures being:

Wolves (H) - W
Newcastle (H) - L
Preston (A) - D
Wednesday (A) - L
Leeds (H) - D
Blackburn (H) - W
Norwich (A) - L
Villa (A) - L
Rotherham (H) - W
Forest (A) - D
Wigan (H) - W
Burton (A) - W

Even with a (hopefully) pessimistic point of view, I reckon we've got a good chance of picking up another 18 points, which should place us comfortably in the play-offs.

GetReading have a predictor.....

Took a bleak view and Reading managed to just about cling onto 6th by a point.

I thought I was being conservative with my predictions and generous to our rivals and we still finished comfortably in the play-offs.

I cant see the results happening anywhere near like that. If they happen upto Villa away we wont be in the top 6 come Rotherham at home and I think we would find it very hard to get back in. Especially as Wigan and Burton will still be battling relegation by the time we play them.

I think we will beat one of Sheffield Wednesday and Preston away, get a result away to Norwich and screw up Forest away and Wigan at home like we often do. I also fancy us to get something against Newcastle

We simply just have to win tomorrow and avoid defeat against Preston and Wednesday

As I said, this is me being very pessimistic, I do expect us to pick up a few points against some of the bigger teams. Agreed about tomorrow though, absolute must-win.

I ended up with Huddersfield as Champs, Brighton 2nd, Geordies 3rd and then us. Must have been harsh on Leeds as they ended up missing out with Fulham sneaking in

I don't think I did it right...
