Brighton choking again. 3-0

Huddersfield beat Newcastle and win their game in hand v Wolves, then they're level on points.

Ian Royal

Ian Royal Brighton losing to Forest... V. good news for Huddersfield.

If Brighton choke from here then you know they are not going to win the playoffs!

Hope so. Big games for us on Tuesday.

Fulham vs Leeds
Reading vs Newcastle

If Fulham beat Leeds and Newcastle meet expectations by beating us, I think we're in real trouble when it comes to making the POs (still be a very good season). If Leeds beat Fulham and we can get a point, we're looking more secure. Everyone else is basically out of it now.

A win for Fulham also puts them within striking distance of Leeds. Fulham, Leeds and Sheff Weds still have to play Newcastle, and Leeds also have to play Brighton. Think it may well come down to the last day match between Fulham and Wednesday.

Certainly an interesting end to the season which makes the lack of excitement on BBC Berks even more perplexing, are we only happy when we are on track for 106?

Fulham have Leeds then Newcastle next 2 games, then a pretty soft set of fixtures to follow

If they were to get 4 pts from those 2 then I'd definitely worry

Obv it's not necessarily us that would drop out if Fulham do get in. I think having watched them a few times recently, both Leeds and Sheff Weds are similar standard to us, and Leeds very reliant on Wood

3-1 following some comical goalkeeping

Newcastle too good for this league to be honest and could have done without Gayle coming back

Anything from Tuesday a bonus really

There's a very real possibility that come Wednesday morning there could be a team in the top 6 with a negative goal difference.

However well they are playing, I'm guessing you're not suggesting Fulham will beat Leeds 14-0

You might be on to something there

Tbh I don't think we will lose by more than 4 goals, at least not at home, but the way we've been playing lately it's certainly possible.

Can't see Villa scoring 7 but they have been improving of late.

No matter how good Newcastle are, I can't see them beating us by 4 goals.

Interesting how the bookies now have us 7/1 to win the playoffs and Fulham at 4/1

Bookies have been against us all season. Even yesterday we were only very marginal favourites to beat Wolves in 20th before the game

Not that it matters in the slightest, hopefully keep proving them wrong

Well, it's no surprise considering our record against the rest of the current top 6, that's probably where our odds come from.

If we get into the play-offs, we could do well though. I am worried about the semi-final away legs but we are very strong at home and Wembley would be a level playing field. And our style of play would do well on that pitch.

Ouch, didn't they already have an issue with one of their back up defenders having a heart condition that ruled him out for a while, perhaps the season?
