genome This weekend's fixtures in rival land...

Brighton v Derby (tonight)
Aston Villa v Sheffield Wednesday
Brentford v Huddersfield
Leeds v QPR
Newcastle v Fulham
Norwich v Blackburn

2-0
0-1
1-2
2-0
2-0
1-1

This is why I don't bet.

At what point should this thread be moved to General Football?
Pretty soon I think

I don't think Newcastle and Brighton's results will have much relevance to us now this season - should this thread be renamed Fulham Watch?

We need to avoid defeat on Friday and things will look a bit better again.

Sheff W v Fulham on the last day looks massive for all given someone is guaranteed to drop points. Fulham's last 4 away games are Derby, Norwich, Huddersfield and Wednesday. If they can keep up this form through those games then they will deserve a play off place.

Just noted that Huddersfield have arranged their game in hand for 25 April with Wolves

Us, Sheffield Weds and Leeds have similar run ins. Prob Weds have the hardest due to hose dour northern derbys they have away from home.

I reckon they'll be the team to miss out to be honest. I didn't think much of them when they came to us. Pressure is really on them on Friday - a defeat would be disastrous for them

Why have you omitted Preston's fixtures?

Is the Sheff Wed game this Friday on SKY? I assume it is as it's 5th v 6th.

No it's not so I presume we are taking quite a big following up there as a result. Plenty of tickets available too

Just been looking at our records against the top and bottom half and also our home vs away records against the top half, parts are encouraging, parts are pretty terrible.

Record against the top half is 6-4-8, not great but not horrible

Record against bottom half is 13 3 3, which is pretty solid

Home record vs top half is 5 4 1, indicates we are at least hard to beat at home, even against the best sides, however....

Away record vs top half is 1 0 7, that is pretty terrible!

Makes me think we'll lose to Sheffield Wednesday but beat Leeds.

I am hoping and predicting that Sheffield Wednesday vs Fulham will be the fixture that keeps us in the play off positions at the end of the season.

They probably won't do us a favour but come on Blackburn!

HT @ Fulham and they're 1-0 up v Blackburn - we're well & truly in the mix now - Friday becomes even more of a vital game to get something from to get just a little temporary breathing space

I've always liked Blackburn (shite place to visit though) - but doesn't detract from the importance of Friday's game

Back to where we were

At worst we'll be 7th on goal difference after the weekend games, that's not too bad.
