Good shout Winston. I like your selections there. I also think Uzbekistan will beat Qatar.

I think your ACCA is going to come off.

The Aussies were very poor against Iraq. They should perk up though to beat the Emirates on home soil. They really need a win now. Iran look strong as well and should have enough to beat China. Tactically they were very good away to Qatar last week, but it will probably be a close game with one goal deciding it. There is a risk of a nil nil draw in that one but I think Iran will get a breakthrough.

Uzbekistan have been going well so I can see them dealing with Qatar at home. South Korea should beat Syria. Accrington's game tonight isn't going to be easy. Cambridge have got a little bit about them if they decide to show up.

The US are at Panama. They should be alright.

Agree, that is the one that pushes the odds up but Accrington are top of the form table I think, haven't lost in 10 games

Thankfully the order of the bet has the first 4 games as NZ, Oz, Japan & South Korea so may bail then anyway if the offering is half decent

I'm not sure today Double D. I think Winston took the right approach going for an ACCA.

I think Iran will beat China but I think they are too short at 1.57 to back them. There is a risk that it will end 0-0. If Iran were more like 1.9 or 2 then I would have backed them but not at 1.57.

Japan likewise against Thailand. Really they should win, but not worth backing at 1.06. Thailand have managed to draw with someone in the qualifiers. I think it was the Saudi's, so you never know. They might hold the Japs but unlikely. The risk/reward ratio doesn't work in either of these two games.

I can't really see any value in these games.

What about Argentina tonight? 1.86 away to Bolivia. Or Colombia, 3.95 away to Ecuador. Colombia have some good forwards and must be a serious threat. I like Muriel who plays for Sampdoria. He is a top striker, very fast. They also have AC Milans Carlos Bacca. Another good counter attacking striker. Colombia might win that game 1-0.

I generally keep away from South American internationals as you need to look up the home/away records too much due to altitude making it not a level playing field.

Sh*t. I wish I read that before placing my bet.

I have gone for a treble on the Betfair Sportsbook. £10 returns £102.12

Iran to beat China @1.53
Argentina to win away at Bolivia @1.8
Colombia to win away at Ecuador @3.7

I think Bolivia have fallen apart a bit these days but it used to be the case that the powerhouses of South American football would really struggle there, and basically Bolivia would pick up points at home and nothing away, much to the unhappiness of other nations.

Ecuador also but to less of an extent

Here is the link to the Iran / China clash.

Iran are controlling the play but don't seem to be in a rush to score. I hope they start to show some urgency soon because this game is the first of my little treble. Having said that they just came close.

They're starting to create chances now. Just got in behind again and forced a save out of the keeper. Corner.

It looks like the game is being played in front of about 80,000 people. And it's good to see that China have at least 3 to 4,000 fans there.

I just saw the highlights of the first half and Iran have definitely had the best chances. It is definitely the best side of the bet to be on. My only concern is that they are not playing with a lot of urgency. I need to quickly check their league table. Maybe they don't need to win.

Iran is top of the league with 14 points. 4 wins and 2 draws from 6 games. 2nd is South Korea on 13 and then Uzbekistan on 9.

If it is just the group winner that qualifies then Iran need to win and stay ahead of South Korea. So they must up their game in the second half.
