AthleticoSpizz Dunno why I'm even bothering with this on here, but.....

As a spotty yoof of the 1970's THE treble was acknowledged as:

League
FA Cup
League Cup

That the domestic treble.

I cannot stand Liverpool, but having the thread joined by HNA's Chelsea and Man U "fans" takes its bentbantz to another level.

Nope. That's always been the domestic treble. THE treble is Prem, CL, FA Cup.

yes agree, but it was THE only treble that really mattered.

Guess I am just crapping on about what counted for the English footy fan back then....the kind that used to exist pre-
S£y/Premiershit foreign competition and player worship.

And of course when "English" teams were predominently populated by "British" players (lol).

Winston Smith Their next 4 fixtures are Arsenal, Burnley, Man City, Everton.

oof!

Can see them beating Arsenal.
Can see them beating Burnley.
Not sure about the City game as it's away.
Can see them beating Everton.

I'd say they'll struggle more when they play

Stoke away
WBA away
Watford away

Are Liverpool now your 3rd team after your excellent predictions?
A walk in the park yesterday as Lukaku didn't turn up and for some reason Koeman had Barry and Miraillas on the bench.
I think his selection of the youngsters was a case of getting in his excuses early knowing that they were likely to lose (again) ,i.e. "I had to play youngsters....".
No Ronald you didn't have to.
As for Ross Barkley...2 possible red card offences (again in a derby game) and just one yellow card.
I'm not sure that he has the right mental approach to back up his ability and he strikes me as one of those types of players that thinks he has made it already when he hasn't.

Kes, what is your Mystic Meg prediction for the home game v Bournemouth on Wednesday with Henderson, Lallana and Mane (3 of Liverpool's best 4) not playing?

Agreed re Barkley, VM, he is developing an unfortunate habit in pressure situations.

I feel for him a little - clearly talented and looked like becoming a mainstay of the England side, but he hasn't played a minute in the last 6 squads he has been selected for. It must be frustrating.

On the tackles side of things, Navas challenge on Monreal was even worse. Ironic these two challenges only earned yellows on the weekend Carragher and Neville's documentary with the referees at St Georges was aired, Atkinson and Dean talking about similar decisions (including Barkley on Henderson) that also escaped reds.

I reckon it'll be 2-2. Good to see you got your excuses in with naming players that are out injured.

Spurs have had to do without Kane, Lamela, Rose, Winks, Lloris, and Wanyama in recent games.

6 wins in a row in all competitions.

Spurs?

I've started to really like them. Especially when compared to the other big clubs.

At least their fans seem genuine football supporters and they have a decent atmosphere at their ground

Again all compared to other clubs of their stature

Yep, they are preferable to the rest, but that might be ´cos they never win anything and their fans are deluded. File with Liverpool.

+1. Most of my family is Spurs so I have a very large soft spot for them. If I had a second club, it'd be them.
