Excuse me, I'll be busy eating my hat whilst riding my flying pig to apologise to Mendes.

Kelly wins a penalty... Grabban steps up?

If anyone predicted Grabban and Mendes to score; hats off to them. If I wasn't listening to the game and someone told me the scoreline and scorers I'd have smacked them for lying

Who's going to amend Grabban's wiki in honour of 1 goal & 2 assists.

Hound Set up by Grabban again...

Have to say Grabban and Mendes both up for MotM yet there'll still be those slagging Grabban off....

Him and Mendes were getting a slating on BBCRB at HT. I mean, they're both a bit shit... but fair play. They've done the business today. No criticism needed.

windermereROYAL So why the f**ck didn`t we (and villa) ask for Mondays games to be moved to Tuesday?

Apparently we did and it was refused. Look they're professional footballers so they should be capable of playing twice in 48 hours

Funny enough, I have a really good feeling about this game despite Villa being in excellent form. We bounce back well after losing heavily although it will be tough and definitely cant see us keeping a clean sheet. I will go for a shock 3-1 win

Shock 3 - 1 win you say?

6pts clear of 7th, 12 more to play for with "home bankers" against Rotherham and Wigan to come.

Are people still concerned?

Just goes to show how utterly unpredictable and weird Reading are away from home this season. Villa have a superb squad of talent and will certainly be challenging for automatic next season yet Reading have turned up with a very different starting XI and seem to have caught them out. But last week they went to a similar club with a similarly talented squad and were done 7-1 !!

Crazy game this football lark.... Rotherham to continue their unbeaten run anyone?

That's just asking for a late capitulation.
From the guy who said we might just win this when 4-0 v arsenal

I think we underestimate how good the side is at times. Those 2 results against villa and Sheff Weds are pretty special in the circumstances

Would think we should beat Rotherham on Monday and that really should be that.

Hoping we can nail down 3rd or 4th now. The way things are going I still reckon it'll be Leeds......

RoyalBlue That's two goals plus one (missed) sitter that Grabban has set up for Mendes, as well as missing a good chance himself. Would love to see him get a goal himself today - sounds like he might deserve it.

My wish come true! Mind you, possibly a club fine for scoring a penalty direct, rather than our established method of setting someone else up to score from the rebound.

Brilliant win and hopefully be followed up with another one on Monday. Still think we won't go up because of our ability to shoot ourselves in the foot......but I have to say I kind of love that about this team......you never ever know how we'll play!
