What will you be doing on Saturday?

by Nameless » 11 May 2017 21:34

I can't go to the game due to a couple of long standing prior commitments during the day and then in the evening, but not while the game is on.
However I have hardly ever watched us play on the TV and hate listening to games on the radio so I will be doing something else. May go for a run, or do some gardening , not too sure. I'll be aware the game is on of course but will probably not check the score until it's over.
I'm aware this may seem odd, but it's my way of coping with the stress !
Is everyone else either going or watching/listening to the game or will anyone else be using diversion therapy ?

Why wouldn't you watch it on tv? :? Surely at this point you're less of a fan and more of a sadomasochist.

I guess historically it is rare that I've not been at a game that was televised. But I just can't sit and watch us on the TV. when we played Cardiff in the playoffs we had people round to watch the game and after 5 minutes I went out.
It's at least in part the fact that you are watching through a filter, inevitably the commentators have little RFC. Interest and just wind me up. Tim Dellor is a big enough reason not to listen on the radio !
I also find the result affects me less if I just find out the score later. Norwich just washed over me, it didn't happen !

Game kicks off at 12.30am here so I should be at the sports bar in the casino getting way to drunk to care if we get smashed but somehow I didn't check the playoff dates and so its Mrs MilesAway's night out on Saturday, I therefore will be sitting on my couch trying not to wake the kids. Rock and Roll.

Going to a friends, beers n' BBQ beforehand and then all inside to watch it on Sky. Should be a good (messy) day.

Probably sat in one of the Irish pubs here watching the game, depends how the day goes, if it gets busier than expected it's on German TV, so can watch at home.

Buying a day pass for Sky, hope it works! Would have loved to go, but with only 2000 tickets, had no hope really.

So long as it's still competitive for Tuesday....

I'll be there and hoping not to have the choice of walking out at 4.0 down like the league game.

this is pretty much my situation too.

I am less nervous when I'm actually at the match. Cannot watch on telly.

Going for a bike ride along the Moselle, will check score via Wi-Fi on my phone.
