Another full page article in the Guardian today fluffing Jokanovic. The entire reference we get is 'They play Reading on Saturday'

Warnock also spouting his usual nonsense and praising them

Can only add to the pressure on them. They were 6th for a reason and only then because of Leeds hilarious choke, but doesn't seem to be deterring the press

CountryRoyal I prticularly enjoyed this from owlstalk

I'm not sure why I'm posting in here as we might not be playing them yet.
But there's something about them ...that makes them the team I least want to face. It's not just the fact they have already beaten us. I thought we had every chance to win both of those games ourselves.

But there's something about them. Stam puts me about. Those sharp eyes. The cold stare of a serial killer.
Stam and his team make me feel uneasy.
Though Reading does as a whole.

In my head they're a 3rd and 4th division club. They're an anomaly , a glitch in the system. This isn't a 'Reading tho' sensation. I feel like I'm trapped a programme where the details aren't quite right.

Oh, and that Kermorgant. ... a middle aged journeyman, never done anything of note. But I see him....and I find I'm holding my breath. I get a sinking sensation when the balls near him in the box, same as I used to with Ian Rush even though Rush was a class apart. It's that same feeling.

There. That's got that out of my system.

Love it.

Top Flight Absolutely! Cairney, Sessegnon, Fredriks, Bettinelli, Martin, these players are unbelievable. We have no chance against them. They'll be able to beat us without breaking into a sweat. They should walk it. They won't need to get out of second gear.

Does Martin still want to go back to Derby?

Also wonder what the media do when Fulham have to play West Ham.....

This, in a nutshell, is why so many clubs think we're "remarkably unremarkable".

We're just little old Reading really, fighting up there with the big boys. They don't like it.

VisitingOwl Best of luck on Saturday I'll be cheering for you, as if we win too a Wednesday/Reading final would be a superb atmosphere. So long as you don't play your pop song - you know the one :P

Cheers, VisitingOwl. Always had a soft spot for Sheff Wed, since the 66 Cup Final in fact. Ron Springett, Don Megson et al.

If we don't make it this year, your lot will be a great addition to the PL with your stylish kit, proud history and good old-fashioned name.

VisitingOwl Just wanted to say that your fans have been classy in the run up to the playoffs, you've been humble and avoided being arrogant. Very sporting and honestly a good example to football fans of all clubs imo.
:P

May surprise you but many Reading are indifferent about going up. If we go up great. We see some big clubs with some great players plus the financial benefits but if we don't the Championship is a great entertaining league too with some famous old clubs. We don't get the ground packed with glory hunters who moan at the team if they are doing poorly and then sod off when they get relegated. Would rather have a stadium with 15,000 proper fans than 25,000 with a load of Johnny come lately's.

Hi just thought I'd make a comment about Fulham. Ever since Mohamed Al-Fayed took over ownership of Fulham the media have taken a dislike to the club. This has remained despite him selling the club 4 years ago.

This season Fulham went largely unnoticed until they won easily at Newcastle (the media's favourite championship side) a couple of months ago.

Anyway I wish all sides the best of luck in the playoffs and whoever goes up I hope they establish themselves in the top flight. It certainly won't be easy for any of the four teams.

Well that's bollocks, the media went on an extended Fulham w@nkathon the moment they appointed Keegan manager and started buying Premier League players in League 1.

Who wants to hear about the club that nearly are itself falling off the gravy train.

Any not for a ticket for today's game. Is it a pay on the gate for the neutral section?

Going from our thread on Owlstalk for when you played Fulham in the first leg, it seems as though we're all on your side! Somehow.

Good luck tonight against 'Fulhamalona'. I know practically no one in the media fancies you now because you're up against such an incredible team.

Cheers Carlos... good luck against Huddersfield. Your more recent form ought to see you through, but they're a good side and I'd personally be happy to see either at Wembley. Nothing against either.

Sky are still predicting a Leeds v Villa final. TV viewing figures are the only true worth of a team now days.
