From Despair To Where?
JimmytheJim No need for sour grapes on our end - if we're going to win we might as well win gracefully.

Fulham were extremely good yesterday and it took a phenomenal defensive effort to keep them at bay.

Their attacking players were all exceptional on the ball, most notably Kebano, Fredericks and Cairney. Aluko's 360 spin past gunter was brilliant and sessegnon has a very big future ahead of him.

Let the Fulham fans gripe and moan about the result - who cares? And they have good reason to be optimistic about next season.

But we beat them.

And that's all that needs to be said.

Being a bit pedantic but Aluko did his 360 spin past Joey.

However, your general point stands, a very attractive footballing team that are a bit soft and lack a natural goalscorer. Supported by a bunch of bed wetting namby pambys.

it was a change of pace that beat Joey not the spin (which was
done about 6 foot away from him). Equiv of goalie camera save

Fair point. Very much like his sister in the respect really, all fancy flicks and touches but lacking in any consistent end product.

Women's football is actually kind of like Fulham.

Media does their best to hype them, but in reality they're just a bit shit.

That comment says more about you than it does about either Fulham or Women's football.

Borderline violence is the best that Reading was able to offer in both legs, epitomised by Reading’s Danny Williams who wasn’t necessarily the best player but certainly the most effective player in both legs.

At least that goes along with my Williams MOM theory

Thinking women's football is shit doesn't make me sexist.

Plenty more examples I could choose from that might - but that's not one of them.

BBC mainly, because they don't have the rights to show much these days. They talk about Manchester City signing this player or Chelsea this, and then only thinking to mention they are talking about wimmin's football, and not the real game, later.

FiNeRaIn Huddersfield lot seem pretty decent to be honest

http://downatthemac.proboards.com/threa ... ing-fulham

A lot backed us and are congratulating us for " deservedly" going through.

Interesting fact from someone on there:

Fulham have had to wait the longest of all current league clubs to re appear at Wembley. 1975 v West Ham being their last appearance. Their wait goes on.

I'm not a fan of the womens game but its not fair to compare women's football to men's football, much as it is nor fair to compare women to men in most sports. However, where football does differ greatly to a lot of other sports is the funding gap between the men's game and the women's game.

It's a good read that isn't it? Nice to see a neutral point of view and they seem a solid bunch to be fair

Obviously a few 'Reading are sh1t' comments but nicely balanced elsewhere

I love it when people get a bee in their bonnet about people slagging off women's football  That's another topic altogether though
