Top Flight
Hound You could play 3-5-2 with Gunter and Obita much further forward than against Fulham.

I don't think Obita will be fit. The club are just keeping quiet to keep Huddersfield guessing and uncertain.

If not, Id consider McCleary at RWB, Gunter at LWB. McCleary did a decent job there once he got into the game

CountryRoyal Kelly also offers more defensively than Swift.

has to be- swift is just not at the races at the mo and everything ive seen of Kelly makes me believe he can cope with a Wembley final

Yes. 3 at the back plus Kelly as the outlet/transition into attack with Gunter/Obita pushing up

For me. Would definitely use Evans to keep that midfield of theirs quiet (like he did Cairney). We'll need the central 3 to be all over Mooy/Hogg

Agree with this but would rather have Swift there than Kelly IMO

Jack Celliers Al Habsi
Gunter, Moore, Blackett, Obita
Kelly, Williams, Swift
Beerens, Kermogant, McCleary

We're not playing Fulham so we don't need to play seven defenders.

We need to go for it in this game - not sit and defend and hope for a lucky counter attack

So you're not suggesting the Chelsea v Bayern Munich approach?

Evans has to start - thought he was magnificent in keeping Cairney very quiet over both ties.

Watching Huddersfields game vs. Wednesday , Mooy is the lynchpin in the middle for them. Disrupt Mooy = kills Huddersfield's patterns of play.

I think that's exactly what we need to do. This is a final

Huddersfield looked dodgy on the counter attack against Sheffield. If Wednesdays forwards tied their boots properly they would have won.
I think if we use the exact same tactics we have our best shot. Huddersfield were very good at getting the ball up to the box.

This.

Except Illori in for Blackett. I don't trust Blackett at CB in a 2 still.

Although mccleary did a good job rwb when he came on i so hope jordan is fit so gunts can go back to rwb if we play that system

Mccleary's an attacker by nature and he may play within himself i.e. not overlap enough because he wants to be overly sure to keep things tight at the back given what's at stake. Mccleary having the license to run at the fullback as an out and out winger is where he is best with gunter overlapping but of course the formation may not permit that.

Also no disrespect to mcshane but Ilori coming in may be a blessing, the guy looked very good v fulham and he is rapid also. Pace is going to be def required at the back v Huddersfield on this wembley pitch

I do not favour Swift to start, I feel he has had far less impact in the second half of the season. For me it has to be McCleary in that position

Why is it under 4 hours from kick off and yet we still haven't seen the team sheet?

Team news is in. Same 11 that played Fulham at the Mad Stad, Obita on the bench.
